| GiN started in 1999 as a recluse for all those STFers starving
for regularly published news. Not that we plan to publish regularly,
but at least we pretend to. The first issue went to press on March
4th, with extensive coverage of the titanic battle between the Presidental
wannabes, and other news. Our second issue, on March 17th, celebrated
St. Patrick's Day, and covered the Cabinet Fallout '99. Our third
issue is scheduled for March 31, with Guest Features and Fleet Correspondant
reports due March 28th.
Unlike other more traditional STF news outlets, however, GiN seeks to provide accurate information, give or take a few typos. While this may be seen as boring or useless, we pride ourselves in our boringness. |
|
| The Observer is the flagship publication
of GiN, a Webzine devoted to irregular news,
features, and randomness du jour. Editor-in-Chief Mike Bourdaa
is the number one fool responsible for this example of news effort.
Regular features include: Letters to the Editor, STF Command Beat, Overheard in the OOC, and Great Moments in..., Close Encounters, and our Closing Theme, along with special guest features, guest interviews, and of course, the soon-to-be-infamous editorial section, "Thoughts to ponder." Currently, GiN is hiring for several Editorial and Correspondant positions (and if we can, we'd also like to fire that lousy Moldy Skulls too.) |
