Kent's Corner Index

From the SNN Archives

Kent's Corner began in November of 1996 when SNN Executive Editor Mike Ballway decided that the SNN Network needed a column to supplement SNN UPDATE, which deals in news only (sure, it may be a partially funny presentation of news, but it's still just news). Using one of his in-club aliases, that of Fleet Captain Adam Kent, Mike wrote a fictional dialogue under the name Kent's Corner and two months later followed it up with a critique of two then-recent Deep Space Nine episodes.

Because Kent's Corner columns can be written in any one of three genres -- episode critiques, observations on STF, and observations on Star Trek in general -- a short description of each column is provided next to its name and date published in the list below.

    1996-97

  1. 11 Nv 96: Temporal Investigations vs. Cap'n Baldy. A dialogue, the Author's idea of what might have happened to Picard after "Time's Arrow" [TNG]

  2. 11 Fb 97: Botched Political Statements in DS9. A critique of the DS9 episodes "Back to the Basics" and "For the Uniform."

  3. 07 Mr 97: The Special Edition. A humorous suggestion for a "Star Trek: Special Edition" movie release in 1999.
