Contract Staff

These staff will be considered Contracted Staff, and their 'contracts' (responsibilities, powers, expectations, deadlines, etc) will be determined at the time of hire by the Personnel Director and the person hired. Upon completion of any project for the Personnel Department, the Personnel Department claims ownership rights to the finished product. However, all people involved in making the product will retain author status, meaning that while we don't want people running away with our material, we won't try and steal it from them either. A contractor can choose to give up his or her right to author status and forefit the entire finished product to the Personnel Department. The Personnel Department reserves the right to change, alter, or otherwise modify any contract or deal with any contract staff at any time, though the people involved will be made aware.

In this case, the dispute will be heard by the STF President.
