Fleet One - Report August 2009

The month above isn't an error.. Unfortunately having had a really really intense month, I didn't get around to filing this report for August and I don't want the Reports Archive to reflect that there wasn't a report because.. there WAS just I was too busy and slightly lazy in filing it.

This is my only really really late report, so begging forgiveness on it :P

This months report is slightly late as I have been training up the new AFComm-1, Sidney Parker in Fleet Duties and he will in the next few days be filing the September 2009 report which I've dropped on him which has been written entirely by him.. Kudos to him for being a quick learner!

Well the Bonnie is moving. Recently when our GM took a break the ship slowed significantly, but a little injection of some temporal crises and it picked right up. Unfortunately we need him to wrap up the loose ends and the chaos I've created. By the way sorry about the temporal paradoxes - that's what happens when you leave me alone with the car keys.

CO Report: Greg Hertzsch

While enroute to Ensign Icheb's homeworld we encountered a Hirogen named Donik who wants refuge from his people. The USS Star Union will proceed ahead of us while we assist Donik.

We had one crewman resign from STF, Jerome Davis. We gained a new CE, Victor Darell played by Matthew Kleinman, and we gained a new COS, Sanna Berg.

XO Report: Sidney Parker

The Ark Angel is still picking up speed and improving. August started off fast and continued through the third week. I have seen a marked drop off of posting from that period to the end of the month. It could be attributed to school and the universities beginning. I have a count of 236 post in August which is an improvement from July. Through recruitment we have been able to add three new players to the roster. Sanna Berg (as was noted in the CO's last report) came along as the new COS. She has great RP skills and brings her character over from the Entente in Fleet 5. We also added Dolores Fuller as Ensign Novi. Her character is an Ocampa which was a very interesting character for her to create and use, especially since its a species from the Delta Quadrant. She has been very creative and I have high hopes for this character. The AA is spec'd for a fighter wing and we had a Wing Leader in Jerome Davis. Unfortunately the fighter wing never did take off. (forgive the pun) Jerome had to resign due to RL concerns so we were in effect without a fighter compliment. I am happy to say that Jon Page agreed to play 2 characters and has brought his old pilot from the now defunct fighter wing of Fleet 5's Entente, Kasie Halford, over as the new Wing Leader. We also added Patrick BLum as a new pilot. He also transferred his character, AJ DeMolay over from the Entente. Both will get to play a lot of Nameless pilots and ground crew, which will be fun as well. I see this as an area for the AA to grow in. As always the core crew of the AA is rolling along and I hope to see a lot of interaction with the new players and the old. The Sim is going great with the crew just now encountering an old friend of the Voyager, Donik the Hirogen. It appears he is going to be bringing a little action or at least work for our engineers. It is much needed as we lost, once again, James Farley as a player (IC Lt. (j.g.) Benito Capone) as an engineer. Over all a great month and I know the downturn at the end of the month is momentary so I expect Septembers report to be exciting.

CO Report: Alex Lorien

My LOA recently will not have helped, but we are still down on posting quantity. My feelings are that there is simply not enough love for the ship. Usually, you will find a crew desperate to engage in side sims and character to development, but it appears that people are just going through the motions. That said, people are going through the motions quite well, with everybody posting good quality posts in reply to the GM.

XO Report: Gene Gibbs

New crew are getting set up with their checks and Alex has the sim begun. Its in its initial 'lets get the orders and information needed to kickstart everyone to action' stage. I suspect very soon we will see the activation of the DH's and that will filter down to the crew. With school starting up again I'm figuring we'll see a change in posting rates though cannot say right now to what venue. While posting rates are about average, there is room for improvement. I see the inception of character building posts and some really good quality posts. We've a number of people away for the last of the summer 'get out and enjoy' whom I'm looking forward to their return soon.

CO Report: Emily Stephenson

Things have been a bit slow on the Victorious this month as there have been a lot of crew changes with myself coming on board and with several new crew members joining. Also, we have not had a GM since the last sim ended so the crew has been side-simming since then, which I should add they have been doing well with. We have now found ourselves a GM to torture us in the form of the Bunny Commander who I am sure will have fun thinking up fun things to do.

Jemma just became CO. We still have no GM. Some Crew are side-simming between Sims. Others are taking a break from posting. AWOL restrictions were relaxed between Sims.
