CO SB 202

Ship: Starbase 202

Position: Commanding Officer

Crew posting level: 5

Senior staff posting level: 7

Overall ship health: 4

Ship status:

I think that the 202 is starting to improve a little bit. I've taken over the GM reins, and Andy and myself have figured out a good plan for the sim that should bring about some more activity from the crew.

Vacancies:

Positions:

- Gamemaster

- Engineers

- Medical Officers

- Scientists

- Security Officers

- Swings

Notes:

We are looking for a Strategic Operations Officer, JOs, and civilians for the 202. Also, and perhaps most importantly, we are looking for a GM besides myself.

Starbase 202

Position: Executive Officer

Crew posting level: 5

Senior staff posting level: 5

Overall ship health: 5

Ship status:

Ship health has picked up but we have also lost a few of our more outstanding players due to real life issue. Overall, the 202 is healthy as a station, though has lots of room for improvement.

Crew posting level: 5

Senior staff posting level: 6

Overall ship health: 4

Sim overview:

As I said in my CO report, Andy and I have figured out a plan that makes sense (at least to us), and we are beginning to progress on it. We will see how it all shakes out. The more people we have aboard ship, the better it will be

USS Alliance

Position: Commanding Officer

Crew posting level: 6

Senior staff posting level: 4

Overall ship health: 5

Ship status:

In the only couple of weeks as being CO we've gotten a CMO finally . On the downside Jason Lee who plays our CSO has taken a leave at an inopportune part in the sim . But overall we're doing pretty good . The posting is somewhat slow but that is a secondary concern at the moment until we get more crew.

Executive Officer

Crew posting level: 7

Senior staff posting level: 6

Overall ship health: 7

Ship status:

We're starting to pick up, although I must admit that I've been rather hit and miss this month due to overtime at work. We have a number of new crew aboard and now have a full medical department.

USS Alliance GM

Crew posting level: 7

Senior staff posting level: 9

Overall ship health: 8

Sim overview:

The sim is still running a bit slow but we are progressing. The Alliance has met up with the Convoy and the crew will split into two groups. One will go with the convoy of ships and continue onto Hargh to meet with the authorities there and began the evacuation. The other will join the Yub Nubs and continue onto the anomaly to study it and see if they can stop it.

Spotlight(s):

I would definitely like to highlight Bob Spicer as CO himself. He is a strong CO who has had the greatest hand in reviving the ship and bringing aboard new crew for me to play with:) Also the science team for having got us this far in the sim, it will soon be Security's and Medical's turn very shortly as we come to the meat of the sim.

USS Asimov

Position: Commanding Officer

Crew posting level: 9

Senior staff posting level: 7

Overall ship health: 9

Ship status:

Once again a strong month on the Asimov. Despite a number of LOAs and myself being less consistent than usual, the sim has continued to move. We are currently in the Neutral Zone (still in our Romulan bodies) having located the USS Nolo, a federation ship that is adrift.

We are currently preparing away teams and intend on getting the Asimov's attention.

USS Asimov

Position: Executive Officer

Crew posting level: 6

Senior staff posting level: 8

Overall ship health: 7

Ship status:

The posts are not as much as when I started 3 months ago, I credit this mostly to the summer. Though we also lost a CE, a JO Med, and we have had a lot of LOA's, so that attributes to it some too.

The current sim I have read good things about, I personally enjoy Kevin's story, and others have come to me and told me they have as well, it feels to have slowed a bit in the last few weeks, but again I feel it may have been due to the summer wind down.

There was two AWOL's, Mike K and Mark V, but both of them have since come back to posting after the e-mails I sent to them.

Spotlight(s):

I have been enjoying the RP'ing between Jim and Kevin the most right now, the Captain as a Romulan Commander and Kevin as the Romulan Viceroy has been intriguing, the two have been playing off a possible romance and and the unknown that Jim's charterer has being in such foreign world has been fun to watch.

Overall the entire crew has been having similar stories and behaviors too cause of the sim, the paranoia as been fun to play off of.

Vacancies:

Positions:

- Chief Engineer

- Medical Officers

Notes:

I have been looking into getting a replacement in house for a CE, as we have 3 Engineers already, the medical JO's I have been probing a bit, we got one extra one I believe from a Academy ship, but we still could do with one extra, I have made a temporary medical character to side sim with to fill that void.

USS Columbus

Position: Commanding Officer

Crew posting level: 5

Senior staff posting level: 4

Overall ship health: 4

Ship status:

The GM and CO took LOAs toward the end of the month, stalling the Sim. I lost my CMO, but quickly promoted a JO to that position. Also lost a few JOs. October will be a recruitment month.

Spotlight(s):

Robin Bird is back! Tara Rice is new. These two have provided a fresh attitude needed to wake everyone else up.

USS Columbus

Position: Executive Officer

Crew posting level: 6

Senior staff posting level: 7

Overall ship health: 7

Ship status:

We're about 1/3 of the way into the sim. There's two planets in this system. One is a Federation colony. The other is a pre-warp society in its Middle Ages. This started when a beam weapon was fired from the pre-warp planet, causing a Federation starship to crash on it. Then it later shot at a Klingon ship. Both the Klingons and colonists are giving us different reports. Worse, the Captain of the starship that crashed is the nephew of the Admiral that sent us on the mission. The Columbus got sent in to figure it all out. And to see if the Prime Directive was violated on the pre-warp planet. To complicate things, the colony is beset by a disease similar to the Bendii Syndrome that is communicable.

Russ went on LOA for a while, as did a few department heads, but the posting seems fairly regular.

Spotlight(s):

This month I'm spotlighting Robin Bird, for bringing her Counselor Assistant on board, Tara Rice for taking over as CSO for Krys who had to cut back on ships, and Tom Hillman with his CoS who's trying to pry secrets out of the XO, and the rest of the crew for general posting.

Swings are available on a review basis. Just no Tellarites please ;P

Ship: USS Columbus GM

Report:

Crew posting level: 8

Senior staff posting level: 8

Overall ship health: 8

Sim overview:

Allow me to start by saying that I had to take a LOA during part of the month due to holidaying to a wine producing region of Queensland, and I was totally without internet access (by choice) during that time. Just days after my return my monitor decided to pack it in ... so I had to get myself a new one. So, the sim's slowed down a bit. Having said that, the crew kept themselves busy during my time away, developing characters and relationships. So that is good.

Just to bring you up to speed on the progress of the sim ...

The first away team have gone down to Nedra III, and are starting on their mission. On arrival, they discovered that the two vulcans on the away team have probably been infected with something. A weird looking animal has also been found with the team ... unlike anything ever seen. They are trying to get down to the bottom of what's behind the strange reports.

Meanwhile, the Columbus has identified the life signs of the missing Starfleet captain on Nedra IV. He is with some of the locals. Also, they detected several other life forms ... belonging to various member races of the Federation as well as their allies ... and some others. Then, just as quickly it was gone. A discussion was held to determine whether or not they would try to beam the captain out, it was decided not to, as he was accompanied by members of the species indigenous to the planet.

Also, the CSO is working with Engineers as well as the Klingon Liaison Officer to examine the reports closer ... they've found that things were covered up in the reports, that were decoded by the Engineers, and that was just in the Federation Away Team's report ... they haven't gotten to the Klingon report yet.

Spotlight(s):

Everyone on the crew needs spotlighting for keeping active during my LOAs.

Commanding Officer USS Montgomery

Report:

Crew posting level: 5

Senior staff posting level: 8

Overall ship health: 6

Ship status:

The Montgomery is coming along. I still think the sim tends to drag a bit but crew posting has been really good we just haven't quite got the sim going smoothly yet and it feels a bit choppy. We are certainly stronger crew and posting wise then we were last month though.

Spotlight(s):

I would like to highlight Robert Archer. He has recently joined the Montgomery and is strong and frequent RPer, I think he is going to be an asset to the ship.

Vacancies:

Positions:

- Executive Officer

Notes:

XO position. I have instated Robert Archer as aXO at this time as I had to let go of Dave Wonderly due to his real life situation. It is unfortunate but due to my lack of singular unsuccess in finding a stable permanent XO I am taking my time in filling the position as I am looking for a strong RPer, someone with the initiative to post and find things to post even when the sim is slow, also most importantly someone that will stay. I also need a strong XO admin wise. I will take applications, these should include the list of present ships and a couple of written references

Well at the moment I'm aXO so I am unsure if I need to make a report. Plus I just joined a week or so ago, but I'm submitting what I've seen so far just in case.

So far the ship is moving along slowly more or less, people are doing there best to get involved in the sim and keep themselves moving.

Private comments:

Just wanted to say privately that I get the feeling that the GM is being to controlling on this sim with the marines, wanting them to do everything while the rest of the crew stays on the sidelines. This is kind of frustrating unless there is a particular reason for it that we are all unaware of.

The away team has made planet fall and is now working to set up camp. Due to an unfortunate LOA from the GM the sim hasn't kept up the nice clean clip it has had in weeks past, but hopefully it will return to normal with his return.

First Ship:

Ship Name: USS Montgomery

Overall ship health: 7

Comments:

The posting seems to have dropped off a bit on the Monty, but she has consistently been a good posting ship, so a month that is a little off isn't something that I'm worried about.

Second Ship:

Ship Name: USS Alliance

Overall ship health: 8

Comments:

The roster is a little small, but the posting rate is fantastic! Good work by everyone aboard ship!

FComm Report

First Ship:

Ship Name: Starbase 202

Overall ship health: 5

Comments:

I would say the base looks like it is moving along slowly, we still have not resolved the issue of a new GM for the base which I will be looking at more closely this month. Joe has stepped up to the plate for now and is running a sim. Badly needed are JO officers though.

Second Ship:

Ship Name: USS Alliance

Overall ship health: 7

Comments:

Posting is strong though the sim is moving a bit slowly but we are getting to the meat of the sim now and I hope things will pick up more. JO crew still desparately needed but the MOTD is up to date, awesome work Jimmy!

Third Ship:

Ship Name: USS Asimov

Overall ship health: 8

Comments:

The Asimov continues to post along strongly and the crew is very active. Things as always are going swimmingly on the Azzy.

Fourth Ship:

Ship Name: USS Columbus

Overall ship health: 8

Comments:

I am impressed as always with Lloyd's strong take over of the ship, he was what she needed. Though I must say the MOTD is still a work in progress. JO's and recruiting is needed on the Columbus as well. Posting wise they are going strong and it appears the sim is active.

Fifth Ship:

Ship Name: USS Montgomery

Overall ship health: 6

Comments:

Well we seem to have most of the crew posting but the sim has still been a bit choppy to get going. Things are looking like they might get interesting now though. I am currently shopping for an XO and taking my time this time to try and make sure I get a keeper.
