Hey there and welcome to SNN Center as we bring to you this special Election Edition of SNN UPDATE. Our political correspondent Pollmeister Peter has turned up some interesting tidbits on both the status of our current leadership and the Guys who would be Prez. The OC is showing remarkable signs of life, as the sudden activity in the "STF OC . . ." areas indicates. No less than five bills are currently either being voted on or being discussed, with topics ranging from the Command Structure to the AWOL limitations (both of which impact on the current leadership void). If you are a rep from your ship, please report to the OC and vote or put in your two cents! Or else!
The ED, in another one of those activity spurts, has exploded into activity as debate goes on about the Nimitz-Class dreadnought, the Nautilus Heavy Cruiser, a Refit-Galaxy class, a Trafalgar-Class frigate, and other improvements in ST technology. All are welcome ("STF ENG. R&D")

Leadership Update:
- President Mike "Da Big Cheez-Whiz" Cathcart has been AWOL, out with Modem Troubles, for the last two months;
- Vice-President Mike "Sisko Freak" Barclay has been AWOL for almost that long, and reportedly has resigned;
- AFComm and APD Dennis "Sugar Plumb Fairy" Hannigan has been AWOL since mid-January, or so my informants tell me;
- EDir/aaPDir Ken "Velso" Marklan is still here;
- GMDir Sue "Jaxa my name-a" Isik is still around;
- and poor old Mike "He Ain't That Poor" Ballway, the highest-ranking active member left in the club, is wasting his time writing these news bulletins.
Obviously, something must be done. I have taken it upon myself to start up the sub "STF - ELECT-A-PREZ." All interested parties, please report there.
