Hi There and welcome to another fun edition of SNN UPDATE. Well, with Randy "HyperActive" McCullick running his own FNN article, I suppose I have to make SNN UDPATE more boring. Yeah, right. Anyway, we're still bringing you the latest in Election News, of which there is none, today. The Engineering Department has been limited to only one -- count it -- one new note in the last few weeks, the first time since its big activity spike in January. All of this might be related to the sudden withdrawal of Ken "Velso" Marklan from the STF Command subs. Oh well.

Our other Miracle Story of the year, the OC, has been up two points in active trading lately. There have been six bills put up this year so far (that's two per month!) and here straight from the STF Command Area is Pollmeister Peter, our trusty political correspondent:
- BILL 001-96: Proposed by Mike "Hah hah, beat you all" Ballway. This bill, passed on Feb. 28, set the STF timeframe at the time of the last Voyager, set the "official" stardate system to YYMMD.D (the one used since 1994 on this newsletter) and gave ship's COs the right to change their ship's registry if they so desire. In addition, this bill authorizes the phasing-out of Paramount-designed ship classes in STF, to be replaced by original creations from the ED.
- BILL 002-96: Proposed by Mike "Here we go again" Ballway. This bill, still being debated, would standardize Ranks and Positions.
- BILL 003-96: Proposed by Randy "I don't work too hard!" McCullick. It would create a new prefix (such as "STFE" or "STF=" for the Engineering Department. It would also provide for a five-person Engineering Council (the EC is the Big Cheese in the ED)
- BILL 004-96: Proposed by Randy "Me? Workaholic? Never!" McCullick. This bill would extend the Grace Period Before AWOL to one month.
- BILL 005-96: Proposed by Randy "I have way too much spare time" McCullick. This bill would give FComms the power to promote people to CO when the Prez is AWOL.
- BILL 006-96: Proposed by Mike "Not McCullick" Ballway. This bill would leave the President's term undefined and allow elections to be called at ANY TIME by the OC.
