Two months and five days ago, Greg "Well put on anything    
then!" Hertzsch noted that the McParty V was on the verge   
of collapse.  After more than two months of non-posting, we 
at SNN Center project that it is, indeed, dead.  Welcome    
back once again to that astute stater of the obvious and    
disgrace to resposible journalists everywhere, SNN UPDATE.  
Today's issue focuses on the STNG Halloween Party, The OT   
area, and another fun topic, STF elections.                 
                                                            
=/\= ENTERTAINMENT                                          
* Emily "Wyz Kid" Braunstein, Prez For Life of STNG, our    
 neighbor club, has conspired with her STNG cronies to      
 throw another fine Halloween Party.  In the interests of   
 fostering intergalactic amity, they have extended an       
 invitation to each and every STF member.  PAY ATTENTION,   
 [YOUR NAME HERE], THIS MEANS YOU!  There's a bar there,    
 and a band too.  Show up dressed as your favorite alien,   
 or whatever.  These things normally (Em says) last until   
 Christmas or further.  Have fun -- "STNG:EMILY'S PUB"      
* With two groundbreaking Star Trek episodes lately, one    
 would expect discussion to be raging about both "Future's  
 End" and "Trials and Tribble-ations" -- not to mention the 
 new TNG flick, "First Contact."  Is there any one reason   
 in particular why the only STF discussion on these         
 cinematic and televised works of, eh, creativity, is in    
 the Aurora's OT area -- and that its reply tally hasn't    
 been added to since the weekend began?  If STF was ever in 
 an OT activity slump, it is now.                           
* Speaking of activity slumps, you may be in another one    
 right now.  The GM department wants to know:  are your RPG 
 fufillments being met?  Is your ship conducting an RPG?    
 If not, then perhaps you ought to mosey on down to "STF -  
 GM DEPT." and request a GM for your ship.  That, after     
 all, is what they're there for.                            
* If your last name is Ballway, McCullick, Holland, Oven,   
 or Hesch... you may be the winner of one free all-         
 expense paid trip to "STF - ED *COUNCIL" to pass judge-    
 ment on whether we can phase in the New Fleet classes yet  
 or not!  Come on down!                                     
                                                            
=/\= SPECIAL BULLETINS                                      
* First, the CHAT bulletin:  Hey!  Who remembers CHAT?      
 Well, heck-- I do!  IF you are chat-capable (this means    
 you have Prodigy for Windows or for Windows 95), my advice 
 to you is to hop on down to "STF CHAT MEET" and talk to    
 Mike "Cray Z" Ballway about setting up a time in November  
 to CHAT with your fellow STFers.  The STF CHAT program has 
 never really been spectacular... but we have great repeat  
 business, and five STFers can't be wrong!               
* And now, the obligatory Election Bulletin: In this month, 
 this November, we are supposed to have an STF election.    
 Right now, the Randy "The Big Cheesehead" McCullick/Nick   
 "Distinguished Veep" Oven ticket is running unopposed.  If 
 anyone dares oppose the Emperor now... speak up.  Talk to  
 Mike "Do We Hafta, Again?" Ballway, Election Coordinator.
