=/\= Stardate 97090.1 =/\=
Hey there adventure lovers, welcome back to another action-packed edition of SNN UPDATE, the only STF newsletter with a teenage mutant sidekick.
In the noose, er, news today we have STF elections, the Representative Council debate, the McParty VI, and for the first time in a while the infamous Mike Update.
Oh, and before we forget: "Duct Tape!"
=/\= STF ELECTIONS (we can be creative here!)
Campaign Season begins today for STF's fall elections, so expect to see Hertzsch/Townes Infomercials any minute now. So far, however, Greg "The Big Mac & Cheese" Hertzsch and Owen "Paranoid? Who told you I was paranoid?" Townes are the only candidates, for Prez and Veep respectively, on the same ticket. The latest wire from Pollmeister Peter, our Man on the Scene, is that if these two are not opposed, it might be a very short election. The Nomination Deadline is 8 September . . . one week from now. The Election Coordinator for this election is, not surprisingly, Mike "Have it my way" Ballway.
Election voting begins on 15 September and ends 29 September. Expect a victor to be announced on 1 October. For more information, visit "STF - ELECT-A-PREZ."
=/\= OTHER NEWS
For these, the first seven months of his term as Prez, Greg "Executive Priviledge" Hertzsch has kept his Representative Council plans secret. Concerned Citizens of STF, however, want to know what it is and toward that end, a subject has been set up ("STF RC DEBATE") to discuss the pros and cons of both the OC and AC plans, the old STF councils. So far we still don't know what the RC is, but a lively debate is going on concering how much power the RC should have. Major players in this debate include Mike "The Imperial Senate will no longer be of any concern to us" Ballway, Mike "What he said" Bourdaa, and, taking the other side, Mike "Viva la Revolucion" Barclay.
The McParty is now getting ready to enter its Fifth Week, with major battles now revolving around the Cola Wars (starring Dennis "Cokehead" Hannigan, Mark "Most Optimistic Man in STF" Wilson, and Colin "Refugee from STC" Wyers) and the Jello Wars (everyone). Notoriously absent are Aaron "Not bad for a fleet of two ships" Holland and Emily "Benedict" Braunstein. Why?
Mike Update:
- Fmr. FgAdm. Mike "The Original Cheese" Bertsch is, come on, let's accept this, gone for good.
- Fmr. Pres. Adm. Mike "The Big Cheez-Whiz" Cathcart is still out with "modem trouble" but should be back "soon."
- Fmr. Adm. Mike "Barcbutt" Barclay is participating in many OT subs but not RPing. Welcome back, Mike.
- Capt. Mike "Speling Bee Champion" Bourdaa, leader of the WeBB, is very active in STF. You should know that.
- Cdre. Mike "New York Times it ain't" Ballway, highest-ranked nonelected member of the club, is wasting his time writing stupid newsletters.
=/\= SNN UPDATE #43
is faster than a speeding go-kart, more powerful than ENIAC's processor, able to leap large computer networks in a single bound . . . disguised as posts by Mild-Mannered Commodore Mike "Spoon!" Ballway, in reality a SuperNewsletter (yeah, right!) dedicated to Quick, Informative, Totally Biased Reporting of STF Events.
"Look! Up on the BBNM database!"
"It's a flame."
"It's an SA Kempec wannabe."
"No, it's SNN UPDATE!"
"Great! How do we complain?"
"Easy. Send email to that super guy, friend to us all, protector of justice, peace, and Sisko--
