Welcome back once again to SNN Center in Chicago. If the news doesn't eventually come to us, chances are it got lost.
In the news today we have the McParty VII, a little bit we like to call the "Mike Update," and a whole week's worth of Fleet Action. And it's all brought to you by the Crew of the USS Aurora, "3 Years on the Same Sim."
=/\= NEWS
In Round Two of our continuing coverage of Mark "I'll see you in court, sir!" Wilson's SNN Headline News metamorphosis, we are pleased to report that Mark has caved in to the immense outburst of public outcry (at last count, almost 2 replies, both from Mike "Don't give me a stupid quote! This is my newsletter!" Ballway) against the New Format. Mark went on the Subspace Radio last week, preëmpting normal daytime broadcasts, to announce that SNNHN is returning to its Original Formula. Not one to let anything go to waste, Mark has announced that the New Formula will still be produced, and will be marketed under the name "SNN Headline News II." Read all about it in the latest issue, #11 [actually, #12 --Ed.], from 7 August. [STF - CNN OF STF].
In what ought to have been our top story, President Mike "WeBB-weaver" Bourdaa published an omnibus Edict Valu-Pak on 13 August, the Prodigy-pertinent portions of which declared Fleet Two to be officially dead here and alive elsewhere (possibly Argentina), and Fleet Six to be activated elsewhere (Yes, the WeBB -- how'd you guess?). Additionally, an Edict from 24 July promoted Kevin ". . ." Blomseth to Captain and CO of the USS Aurora. Kevin is rumored not to have spoken since 1995, and SNN UPDATE sent its crack F1 correspondent to interview him, to find out if this is true:
Pete Peterson: So, Mr. Blomseth, do you talk?
Kevin Blomseth:
PP: I didn't know that! What do you think of the Aurora job?
KB:
PP: Yes, me too. Well, thank you for this interview.
KB:
PP: You did WHAT?
More news on this story as it develops, or when someone posts on the Aurora, whichever comes first.
The McParty on the WeBB is going at full tilt, with Jello warriors duking it out and Cola warriors also duking it out, plus those wily religion people protecting their McParty VII: Venerations. In recent McP7 news, Host Emmie "I have the power" Hunt got annoyed at so-called Publicity Chairman Mike "Yeesh!" Ballway, and random flunky Mark "What's a Web browser?" Wilson complained about the lack of McPartying on Prodigy.
As an addendum to the Fleet Two news . . . wanna see an STF first? Go to [STF2 VICT ANNOUNCE] and read FComm Mike "Strike three!" Ballway drumming the USS Victorious right outta Fleet Two. FComm-1 Den "Dennis" Hannigan has not yet commented on the fact that he gains a ship out of this F2 deal. Is he hiding something? <g>

It is published somewhat biweekly at SNN Center, Chicago, Earth, and is governed by its Journalistic Motto of "Quick, Informative, Totally Biased Reporting of STF Events." SNN UPDATE is not related to the McParty in any legal way, nor to SNN Headline News except inasmuch as they share a distribution system (SNN). Crazy Bob says: "Beware the Blue Jello!" Crazy Bob is not a caricature of Bob "Hi Bob!" Newhart. Text within quotes is probably his.
