This is it. Here goes nothing.
Welcome back once again to SNN Center here in Chicago where we are about to make history as the first and only SNN publication to publish its last issue in the full knowledge and acknowledgement of the fact that it is, indeed, its last issue. For four years we have brought the news to you in humorous and informative ways, and here -- in our last edition -- we thank you, STF, for letting us inform you.

To everyone who's been quoted -- or misquoted -- in SNN UPDATE, our thanks. You are the ones who have made our career in STF an interesting and exciting one, and you are the ones who have provided us with the fodder for some of our best jokes of all time <g>. I thank everyone who has ever served in STF, for you've all contributed in some way to STF and, in doing so, to SNN.
I especially thank, though, the members of Command and the STF notables who will live forever in STF history: Mike "The IRCheese" Bourdaa, Greg "The GDMF Cheese" Hertzsch, Randy "The Big Cheesehead" McCullick, Velos "Velso" Larech, Dennis "Den" Hannigan, Mike "The Big Cheez-Whiz" Cathcart, Jim "The Big Cheese" Midyette, and Jerry "The Big CheeZe" Phelps, former and current Presidents, whose endless policy initiatives and mishaps will be remembered by all who read the printings of our slanted press.
I'd also like to thank the people who were treated harshly by SNN UPDATE over the years. From the outset, we made fun of people, although sometimes I feel that we may have crossed a few lines -- so I thank Jason "USS Apparition #1 Fan" Brocklesby and Brian "LtCdre" Misamore, even though they resigned before becoming constant SNN UPDATE features; and Nick "My ship is bigger than yours" Oven, Phil "QTorpedo" Bishop, and Owen "'Ex' Marx the spot" Townes for putting up with SNN's constant (joking) assaults while in high office. Nick, especially, never lived down the sophomoric antics that marked his first months as Veep.
Even more important are the rock-solid members of STF who took lead, even if not President, when the situation demanded it. Most of the Presidents fit into this description before or after their terms in office, and Mike "I can see you, can you Simi?" Barclay, Rebecca "Go 'Cats!" Juarez, B.J. "It could be 'Big Jawbone'" Phillips, Aaron "AAWOL" Holland, Jeff ". . . and explodes" Field, Colin "QC" Wyers, and many others that I've forgotten.
=/\= WHAT NEXT, O SNN PROPHET?
It's true -- there will be no more SNN UPDATEs. I may return to STF*Prodigy, to visit, in the future, but this newsletter dies now. Fortunately, Mark "El Periodista Primero" Wilson will fill the gap we leave with SNN Headline News, which he's been writing since January. SNN UPDATE thanks everyone who has worked on SNN since we began (yeah, you thought we forgot you, didn't you?): Mark; Mike "MJC" Cathcart; Larry "LOLG" Garfield; Seamus "AOTW" Hughes; Deanne "DD" Morgan; Randy "RE" McCullick; Mike "Galron" Bourdaa; Jeff "JMNN" Field; and of course that Adam Kent guy <g>.

was our deepest, heartfelt thanks to the people who made the first 64 happen -- not us, even though we did do a lot more editing and writing then them, but the fine people of STF, and I guess the fine daily posters too. We depart safe in the knowledge that our tradition -- our Journalistic Motto -- of "Quick, Informative, Totally Biased Reporting of STF Events" will be remembered by the New Slanted Press of STF -- SNN/HN.
