Overall, the fleet is doing well. Jonathan Hughes has accepted the position of Assistant Fleet Commander. He is just settling into his office and shall soon be ready to take on the world. Larry Garfield has been appointed as the Fleet Four Minister of Culture. As such, he will be responsible for the fleet GMD duties and the fleet history.
Barret VogtmanI have been AFComm for about a week, and therefore have had little chance to gain more than a basic picture of what is going on in the fleet. As far as can be determined at this stage, Fleet 4 is a great place to live, thrive and survive. Its unique character combining the joys of Star Trek and Star Wars makes it a zany, fun place; it's the only fleet in STF where crew members would not bat an eyelid at a character building a lightsaber. . . :)
USS Alliance -
The Alliance is currently between missions, with LOAs abounding. The ship is about to get back into the swing of it, as soon as they can flush Lt T'Dae out of the Orion Pirates of the Caribbean (and you think I'm kidding!). We know little about the sim that we're heading into at this stage; what we do know is that a mining colony is producing more than expected, and we're dropping an expert off to examine why.
Ably commanded as always by Larry "Stoek" Garfield, the Alliance is a friendly ship. It's also more than a little crazy. It is staffed mostly by experienced RPers, but a green newbie will find it to be a forgiving environment as well. The GM is still an unknown quantity, but it looks promising.
USS Columbus -
The Columbus is coming to the business end of its long running "Convoy" Sim, with the discovery of a cloaked ship lurking nearby. Meanwhile, we're dealing with the fallout of the loss of the XO and the COS in one week.
Posting is a little slow and disjointed, perhaps mostly due to the crew turnover. However, things are picking up, and GM Jake Franlin plans to kick the sim into high gear shortly.
Here ends the first report, in which there is very little to report. Hopefully the next report will report much more reporting.
Jonathan HughesI'm still getting settled into my office at the Fleet Four Funny Farm. It's a nice little office, and it has one of those ultra-sonic thingies to keep out Jeff's sheep, as well as most Ferengi. I'm working with Stan Tomson, the new CO of SB202, to find a new GM for the station. Starting next month, I am going to try to integrate the office more, and maintain more regular contact with the GMs. I am also redoubling my efforts to get the Fleet Four History completed, finally. :-) My policy as F4MC is the same as it was when I was FComm; GM appointments should be a joint-decision between the CO and Fleet Command. I won't be appointing any GMs over CO's heads, but I will be staying involved in the decision in order to maintain the fleet plot arc and culture.

As of right now, I can't really post anything about the IC state of things on SB202, as I only took command but a few short days ago.
With the help of Steve Johnson SB202 now has a pretty new MOTD, based on OP45's. A new super cool one is hopefully on the way.
The crew is severly lacking in numbers for my tastes, I'm working on recruiting some new faces for the ship. And finally I'm in the process of finding a new XO for SB202 as David has decided to step down at the end of the sim.
That's about all I can really report on at this point.
STAN!Posting rate and no. of post are rising as the GM returns and some new crew joined in. We should be able to rise out of the abyss soon.
During the previous months, chaos spreaded on the station like whirlwind and posting plummented. For all the disturbances, I take all the responsibility as the CO is taking LOA due to real life issues and I failed to guide the SB in the absence of command. Other crewmember performed admirably during the chaos.
Starbase 202 has its share of glory and I am certain that it will rise to the top again until the guidence of a good CO and the joined efforts from the crew. This may be my last XO report and I wished all the best to all of you.

We're slowly getting into the new mission over on the Ally. A few of our less active JOs have dropped out, and at the moment I'm holding off taking any new people until the next group of graduates comes out of the Academy. Deanne informs me there's some really good people coming up in about a month, so I'm keeping a seat open for them. Speaking of Deanne, her character has spent most of the month trapped in the Orion Pirates of the Caribbean theme park, located on deck 15. Someone get me the name of whoever designed this darn ship! (What's that? I co-designed it? Oh, uh, never mind.) I think someone is forming a rescue party. Unfortunately the new mission, while it sounds interesting, is taking a long time to start, as our GM had to take an emergency LOA and the software didn't register it, or something. Hopefully, things will pick up as soon as he is back.
Larry GarfieldPosting is extremly low and seems to have been that way since I joined the Alliance. I don't see any improvement in the forseeable future unless all the LOA's come back and some one puts a bomb under the rest of the crew.
Deanne Ashton and Mike Bourdaa both post quite reguaraly as do I but the Captain and the GM seem to have more important things to tend to.
Yes, I suppose I do sound out of sorts but it is hard to RP with such a sporadic crew. Noone informs me of their LOA's as requested and I never know who is just bieng lazy and who has a legitimate reason for not posting. I take my role as XO seriously and am extremely dissappointed that the others on the ship don't appear to.
Cherie MayhewThis is my first report as GM of The alliance. The new sim has just started, and since I have been in and out due to real life it has not gotten far. This will change as things seem to be back to normal for me.
The Alliance has been ordered to Esscort Lieutenat James Stevens, a StarFleet operations officer, to MA643. He is being dispatched to audit that cobolt mining operation there as it is putting out three times the amount of ore for an operation that size. Since it is a contracted operation Starfleet wants to know how the operation is doing this and if its doing it with Starfleet safty guide lines. The Ally is to esscort him to the planent and aide in whatever way they can. Stevens is on board and briefing the senior staff.

Well the Asimov is still in one piece, although still crewless, but we're working on getting back to the ship in one piece really we are! :-) Things have been a little slow recently, but this seems to be the general trend throughout STF at the moment. Probably has something to do with it being summer and everyone is enjoying the sunshine and going on holiday, but we're surviving.
Posting from the crew that are still with us, is on par with what I expect from the Asimov. Detailed, well thought out and a joy to read. Especially some of the Valenti planet posts, have been quite amusing to say the least, what with anal probes, medical robes and an Andorian and an Iosat on a gurney together (You had to be there.. ;-) )
The sim is slowly winding to it's conclusion and then we have a few new crewmembers who will be making an appearance, like Alan, and a returning Brandon for instance.
All Departments are looking good, although Medical is lacking in a few JO's but I'm sure we can drag some folks in from somewhere, as long as we don't tell them about the crazy CMO that they have to work for! (Hi Ash!)
Overall I'd say we're in pretty decent shape.

Edison UyI'm pushing ahead to try and get this mission finished ASAP, really! Most of the main threads are almost done, which means it's a matter of cleanup at this point. I'm hoping to have the mission over by the end of September, but of course I can guarantee nothing. I long ago gave up trying to predict when missions would end. :-)

Sim to date:
The Columbus has suffered turmoil. A number of crew members (most notably the Counsellor and the CE) have been injured in a fight with a saboteur that has claimed the lives of the XO and a number of NEs. Meanwhile, we're about to see the loss of the COS. At the same time, a bad-tempered Klingon is being punished for his nasty habits by being placed in charge of the ship's school, whilst a certain feline engineer has given the traditional peace offering of a case of bloodwine!
Climate:
Posting is plentiful, but somewhat disorganised. This is largely due to the high levels of crew turnover. We need a COS, an XO and a CTO, and could use more rank & file. In addition to this, the Captain has had a couple of unavoidable absences lately. OOC posts abound. On the credit side, it's a pretty friendly place and the general feel is good.
Post Vacant
The columbus is motoring again- the convoy is being pursued by a cloaked vessel that just de-cloaked! The sabeteur has been caught and killed- at the expense of 2 npc's and a player charicter (Cordell's charicter who resigned)
Jake Franlin
The sim seems to be winding down at the moment. The crew for the most part has done extremely well. We have rarely seen anyone AWOLing as of late and all the crew seems to be enjoying themselves immensely.
Shalon will be stepping down after this sim is over. He will be moving to the CSO position with a new character. Tara Manini will be succeeding him. Good luck to both.
Barret VogtmanActivity has taken an upturn lately as the sim has picked up pace a tad. It has been somewhat slow up to this point, with many complaints that the sim has been uninteresting. I hold this to be more of a shortcoming of players not working with what they are given than the GM not giving them anything to work with.
The crew has been doing fairly well together as a working unit, but actual character interaction has been pretty low lately. People seem to be relying soley on action scenes to post rather than developing their characters. I have been just as guilty of this as everyone, by the way. Once again no one really stands out as either terrible or fantastic.
I will be leaving as XO as of the end of this sim and this will probably be my last XO report. It was fantastic. I hope that I have as much fun as the CSO. See you later.
Shalon HurlbertThe sim is steadily heading towards it's conclusion. J'dhaan and his team have discovered the secret that lies beneath Gorgangua's mountain complex - the fact that they have been kidnapping anyone who enters their system, and the nearby planet and using them as workers in their mine. This is helped by the implantation of a small device on the back of the neck. Adrian the pilot of the missing runabout has been found, now all they have to do is try to get out of there!<g>
Gorgangua's attempted attack on the Montgomery had been a complete failure, with the crew being able to implement it's counter measure effectively then launched a counter attack on the ship, badly disabling the bio-ship and then tractoring it back to the Drazir 4.
An away team over to the vessel has met and dealt with a few ship defenses, but so far no life signs have been found - the plot thickens!
