Commander Allison Devlin Ruddock, Lieutenant Governor

Background

Allison is rather sensitive and sweet off duty, but sometimes comes off as disrespectful. She refuses to use her telepathy in any situation, unless it is extremely necessary to the well-being of the crew. She loves to read and can usually be found either studying or reading a novel in her quarters. Friendly, she can easily make friends, but tends not to let them very close to her. Orderly.

Allie, as she is affectionately known by her parents and other close friends and family, is a true Starfleet brat. She grew up around Starfleet, on Betazoid for the first twelve years of her life, then on miscellaneous starships until she was accepted to the Academy. She struggled slightly on Betazed with her non-Betazoid looks, but very Betazoid mental powers. A weak telepath, she has to work hard to transmit thoughts and usually only can to another telepath or one she cares for. It was always planned for her to go into the Acadme;y she never had a choice in the matter, but wanted to go enough that she didn't make an issue out of it.

Allison was a brilliant student and could have easily been on the command track, although she tended to have a smart mouth. Her years living around Starfleet made her seem more experienced. Her instructors noted this, but took it upon themsleves to break her of any habits she had gained spending so much time around Starfleet.

Allison started at her first assignment, the USS Endeavor, with a rocky beginning. Numerous clashes with her department head were finally settled by her finding her place during a disastrous away mission. When she returned and was promoted to Lieutenant (junior grade), she befriended the son of her department head, Benjamin, who was a security-tracked cadet. Their relationship progressed much past friendship until she was shocked, after receiving promotion to Lieutenant, with the news that she was pregnant with twins. Allison and Benjamin married as soon as he graduated from the Academy.

Allison was soon promoted to Lieutenant Commander and Chief of Security of the Endeavor. Following this promotion, her relationship with her husband began to slowly become strained, with her being pulled more and more away from her family and toward her flowering career. This ultimately ended in Benjamin deciding to take a leave of absence to care for the twins, while Allison pursued her career. Their marriage was near its breaking point when Allison took her posting as Chief of Police on Oed V, reserving her commission in order to spend time with her husband and children. This only lasted a few days, as she was quickly called back to active duty to serve as Lieutenant Governor of the colony. After exemplary service as Lieutenant Governor, she was promoted to full Commander

Allison had a totally healthy pregnancy and birth with her twins, Alesa and Liam. She's fit, but carrying a few extra pounds from her pregnancy. She is now a few months pregnant with her third child.
