Welcome to STF

Welcome to STF, the best online Bulletin-board style Star Trek Role-Playing site on the internet. Founded in 1991, STF existed originally on the Prodigy "Classic" network, which provided a unique bulletin-board style format. While most RPG groups conduct their actions in live chat, which requires everyone to be online at the same time, or play-by-email, which requires sifting through many messages on your email account, the WeBB provides a central location for our RPG.

APDir Vacancy

Evening all,

Unfortunately Ray has had to make the hard choice of leaving the PDept to focus on Fleet 6. As such, I am in need of an Assistant Personnel Director.

PDept experience is preferable, but not essential, however I am after someone who is conscientious with perhaps even a touch of OCD. :-)

If you're interested, drop me a line at pdir[at]star-fleet.com.

Many thanks,

Jack

Sitewide Mail Outage - Fixed

Any mail sent through any of the forwards or contact forms from late last night (Central US time) to about an hour ago was not processed. Unfortunately, the server offered no notification whatsoever to the user about this - so if you sent mail, resend it.

Everything is now fixed and working as it should be. You can read a bit more here: http://www.star-fleet.com/webb/node/697567

Issues with the Contact Forms

There is presently an issue with the Contact Forms that is causing them to fail to send. The user isn't actually told that their messages didn't send - because this system is generally terribly designed. However, it does show up in a buried status page in the drupal administration. I know roughly why this is occurring, and we're working to fix the problem.

AIDir and IDept Trainee Update

I have received several applications for IDept Trainee, and one application for AIDir. However, several people have expressed interest in both, but have yet to send in their applications. This is a reminder to them, and anyone else interested, to send those in as soon as possible. I'm extending the deadline to April 27th, and I'll announce staff when I can.

The IDept Trainee program is expected to begin at the start of May.

Thanks,

-Thomas
