With the announcement that Amber Hagan has been appointed as the first Supervisor of Experiments (SOX), the Experimental Fleet (X-Fleet) is open for business.

This morning the IDept was informed that beginning at 3PM EST today (Friday, November 23 2012), Pair will be patching and rebooting all FreeBSD servers in their datacenter. This is necessary due to a critical security patch that was released yesterday.

It is expected that star-fleet.com will be offline for 10 minutes during this patching process.

2. A statement explaining why you want to be the SOX.
3. A description of X-Fleet in your own words.
