The Victorious was able to find a way to power the station, and we have retrieved our Away Team. After debriefing, it was determined that the station had been using power from obitial satellites and that was why the Victorious was being hit by energy draining beams. The station had mistaken the Victorious as one of these satellites. In my report I have recommended that a science ship be dispatched to the station to learn more about it's unique properties and to discover the stations builders efforts to save their planets flora and fauna.

Submitted by Edward Brough on 31 December 2008 - 6:33pm.With the Dresden heading back to Earth for some mush needed repairs and a refit of the damaged components, we've run into a bit of a snag which we intend to solve before our arrival. It seems the Lt Adir and Lt j.g. Kelly, during a freak transporter accident, have switched bodies. This is most unfortunate for both parties concerned and as such I am devoting all resources to its solution. I hope that between us and Star-Fleet medical we can resolve this quickly with minimal fuss.

Fleet Commander Lucas has informed me that I am receiving promotion to Captain and assignment as Commanding Officer of the USS Lexington as a result of all of the work that I have put in on the vessel.
It is a great honor to serve on the Lexington in any capacity but to be invited to Command it is one higher, I have also been told that we are being re-assigned however I am waiting for mission specifics.

Submitted by Edward Brough on 23 November 2008 - 6:18pm.New CO's log. I have just taken command of the Dresden after a rough transition period for which we had no GM or CO. Tim's departure has left me large shoes to fill but I will endeavor to fulfill the responsibilities of the position to the best of my ability. I have appointed Melissa Eastman as my XO and am looking forward to working with her in the near and distant future. I am just wrapping up the final few threads of my surprisingly in depth "side" sim and once that's over I will be proceeding to announce promotions.

Under a set of unusual circumstances, I have been ordered to take command of the USS Columbus, while her previous captain has been transferred.
It is unusual in that the Columbus was in mid mission when the orders came, requiring that I take a runabout from the USS Destiny to the Columbus. Meanwhile, my previous command, the USS Destiny, was being towed back into starbase after taking major damage due to an ambush by pirates. It is with deep regret that I left her not knowing if Star Fleet would repair her or retire her from the fleet.

We have been given orders to travel to the Tokara system by Captain Andun Dalium of Colonial Command. The Europa is enroute to the Virginius colony. The colony is in a remote rimward area and has not had any communication with the Federation in the last 18 years. Rumors of a new spacefaring race have prompted Colony Command to send the Europa to check out what's happening.
There are rumors of a species called Gordi who may have taken over the colony. Since the location of Virginius is so far out on the edge of this sector, little is known for sure.

Well, my second class of Cadets has graduated and it is certainly a time of change. My XO, Commnader Daniel Lerner, is moving on to his own Command on USS Typhoon A. I am welcoming Commander Jim Hosick in his place. My CNS Lt. Cmdr Arun is leaving and Lt. Cmdr RJ Empson is replacing him. It will indeed be a time of adjustment for both the Cadets and I.
It really is bittersweet with me with Dan leaving. He was XO when I first joined the Challenger as CO in March 2008 and he showed me the ropes and made my first Academy command a success.

With Captain Qasim being taken ill, I have new orders to assume Acting Captaincy of the U.S.S. Lexington until further notice.. That is until I or another officer is appointed to the position of Commanding Officer.
Using my discretion and the advice of a number of my Senior Officers, I am currently avoiding approach to the planet unless absolutely necessary.
I await further orders from STAR-FLEET Command.

I have orderded the evacuation of the Away Teams from the station, due to the immediate danger posed by the creatures the chronometric storm has deposited.
Lt. Eagle has lead the extraction mission using several of the Victorious' shuttles. He has yet to return.
On the advice of my Chief Engineer we have attracted the energy draining beam to our main deflector disc and are currently re-directing it's power back to the station. I have ordered the Victorious on an extraction run of our own to get any of the remaining Away Team members before we leave the system.
