There has been an assassination attempt on the Governor Symon Silvester in the Commercial District. Several people were involved and two are now in the ER in the Sacred Heart Hospital: The Governor and Shamera Zar, a bar owner, both are in critical state. One of the assassins is dead and two houses collapsed when explosives went off - the area is in chaos!

The crew of the Genesis has been welcomed by an evening Banquet by the Zaharan government. The medical officers are meanwhile already examining the inhabitants to get a deeper insight into the species and their security guard has been drawn away by strange noises into the jungle, stalking a predator - or vice versa? The Engineering crew is dealing with an unexplained explosion on the ship when they should be on the planet helping to build an immensely huge bridge spanning two land masses.

The COS was able to follow the three Cardassians to the commercial part of the station. There was a big fight. The COS has successfully uncovered the contractor of the Cardassian mercenaries that had attacked the Olympic, a hooded figure. It was a very strong Telepath, just like the COS. After a fierce mental battle the villain chose to commit suicide rather than letting the COS infiltrate his mind. Three Cardassians tried to come to the help of their employer, but the crew of the Olympic came to the help of the COS and two Cardassians were killed in the ensuing fight.

A rescue team was formed from the USS Rokiren (made up of crew from the Montgomery) and they split into two groups. Team One beamed down near the 'large blank spot' which turns out to the a facility with the prison compound.
