As quickly as we went away, Q has returned us to our own little portion of the universe. The entities departed all the effected personnel prior to our return. However, the process of mediating the dispute between the two factions took a heavy toll on Commander Winchester and regrettably his health is not expected to recover. Friends and family are gathering to say their last goodbyes.

For two days we have been in what are navigational charts tell us is the Sombrero galaxy courtesy of Q. The first day we had several glowing entities enter the ship as our SIF began to degrade. We used shield rotation protocols to slow their entry into the ship but inevitably they managed to gain access to the ship. The entities made contact with several crewmembers and it was determined that they were intelligent beings. Just as we were beginning to make first contact another rival group of entities known as the "Harvesters" were discovered to be heading toward the Discovery.

Captain's Log-Supplemental

My senior staff are currently down below on the planet testing Atavus. Unfortunately, starfleet has recalled my Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Security, and Chief Science Officer. We now have a new COS and CSO, however we're still lacking in a CMO. Despite this, medical officers from the ship and on the planet are still working toward figuring out more about the alien spieces.

I've met with my two new DH's. I definitely see promise in them. I only hope now that our findings will be sufficient for Starfleet.

XO's Log, Supplemental - We have been assigned to repair Communications Relay Array Zeta 442. Although only five light-years away, we have been authorized to approach at warp nine. I will be holding the briefing on the matter, and hope that this shall be a short assignment.

This is the first cruise of the Bonaventure under my command.

Commander Megan Stills acting CO. Our Captain has suffered a heart attack and been taken out of commission. The Captain was in command of the drive section located on the inside of the sphere we are investigating. We believe it to be connected to the Orion contingency in this sector. An asteroid has been discovered inside the sphere and an away team has beamed down and is currently investigating some subterranean tunnels that may lead to the main power source we are detecting. The Horta appear to be working as minors for those in control of this outpost.
