Energy is stored on the batteries on the satellites and as the station has need it links to the satellites to transfer it over. From there the energy interacts with the nucleosynthetic material in the station that produces the energy we require. Should this fail there are three geothermal collection points on the planet's surface that we had. With the temporal storms one has been lost. The station will seek out compatible energy as it can. Between storms and activity I have set the station into a sleeping mode to conserve power as we can."

: : : : To Henry, this all sounded familiar to the 21st and 22nd century solar panels - they would collect energy during the day and store excess up for use when there wasn't enough sunlight. He stated to the others, "I have heard of nucleosynthesis but never studied it. As far as I was aware it was being researched by several non-Federation organisations." He turned to the hologram "Can you please explain the process and whether the geothermal collection points are active and transferring energy.?" He tapped his comm badge

: : "On a basic level the energy reacts with the bio-matter that we have extracted from Dowanu-vines that we identified as being energy rich. This we extracted and mixed with a thermal gel our scientists devised. This extended the useful life of the extract and made it viable for a power source in our machines." Henry would be aware that this form of energy was very efficient though had its downsides to it, and was not as viable as what they had now in the Federation. The hologram didn't answer the question of the geothermal collection points. It was likely it didn't have that information.

So far I have gathered that the station uses nucleosynthesis technology from four satellites that must have been destroyed and three geothermal collection points on the surface, one of which has been destroyed. The station is then programmed to locate compatible energy sources to power itself up.=/\=

: : OOC: Andrew .. you might want to look at the above information to adapt your idea. Its from the planet that they had obtained the particular matter from from - it was just the solar energy that reacted to it and powered it kinda like a catalyst charging a turbine or a glow stick. The energy was there but needed a shake, or in this case, external power, to get it going again.
