Background:
Logan's family is African in ethnicity and culture; however, they moved to Wolfsheim, Germany shortly before Logan's birth, and took the town's name as their own. Growing up, Logan's mother was often away for months at a time working in Star-Fleet. Logan grew to have a strong dislike for his father, who he felt had an unrealistic, overly pacifist view of the galaxy. Logan allowed political differences to interfere with home life and, thus, opted to move away at age 15 to Pike's Academy for the Gifted, a school in which he learned advanced Star-Fleet operations and principals, priming him for entrance into Star-Fleet Academy.

Logan's early career flourished and, during the War of Cetleck III, he quickly rose to the rank of Captain. He participated in the final, decisive battle for the Federation, but, lost his ship in the process with one-third of all hands lost. Logan quickly adopted a teenaged Cardassian war orphan by the name of Telak. Taking a leave of absense from Star-Fleet, he chose to live close to the Cardassian border with his new son. When his world was suddenly in Cardassian territory, Logan made the decision to join the Maquis instead of move back to the Federation interior. His son, then 16, grew resentful and demanded he be put into the care of his grandparents on Earth. Logan agreed. Telak moved to Earth, and Logan would spend the next years fighting for the Maquis. During his time with the Maquis, Logan was reportedly married to an Alexander Cambell for a period of eight months. No official record of this marriage survived.

After the Klingon attack on the Cardassian Union, the adult Telak decided to join the Federation's junior diplomatic core, intent on offering aid to the Cardassians. He did so without seeing or consulting his father, and has not been heard from since the Dominion absorbtion of Cardassia. Logan, a Maquis member, was saved from the Dominion by the efforts of Captain Sisko and Maquis Leader Michael Eddington. After war broke out with the Dominion, Logan was offered a full pardon and a return to his rank and position of Captain. Logan accepted and served on the front lines for the majority of the war, in the process losing three ships. Despite heavy losses, Captain Wolfsheim was regarded as a brilliant tactician. During wartime he brought a Maquis associate, Sibylla Bellahar, into Star-Fleet to serve on his vessel as a science officer. Logan regarded, and still regards her, as the only person he can safetly talk to in complete honesty.

After the war, Captain Wolfsheim immediately took a leave of absense over grief of the hands lost under his Command, and over his political differences with Star-Fleet. Logan felt that Star-Fleet's focus was too high on militarization after the war, and found a moral disagreeance with Star-Fleet's practice of trying to assimilate worlds into its organization. He took his leave of absense after every Admiral he had contact with refused to submit his proposal to Star-Fleet, regarding a separation of Star-Fleet and Military. He retired to Berlin, Germany, where he worked as a technical administrator. Logan was recalled many years later, offered a position as a Captain on a vessel of exploration, not war. Logan accepted the assignment on one condition - that Sibylla would be transferred on board as the new Chief Science Officer. With those terms accepted, Captain Wolfsheim took the center seat of the U.S.S. Valkyrie, where he has remained until the present day.

Logan is still actively searching for his son, Telak, through Star-Fleet contacts in Cardassian space. He is considered by Star-Fleet to be a capable Captain, however, his morals are a red flag, as they quite often disagree with Federation or Star-Fleet principals.
