Nathan is the product of Alexander and Lena Troye. Alexander was a linguist who knew multiple languages. Nathan picked up on the English and German languages from Earth along wth the normal betazoid. Lena owned a restaurant. There Nathan picked up quite a bit on food. Both of them were full betazoids. He also had a little sister who eventually became a doctor in the present.

As a lieutenant, Nathan Troye had taken shore leave (before his promotion to CTO) from the USS Phoenix to Betazed. There he met Andralyn Montgomery. It was at that time that the Dominion made their presence known as they took control of Betazed. He developed a sort of strong relationship with Andra, for they had to rely on one another if they were to survive and get to a rescue. It was thought that there was the potential for a romantic relationship, but it was thought best that it should not be pursued.

Upon Nathan’s return to the Phoenix, he was promoted to the position of CTO, and eventually Lt. Commander. Nathan has been offered XO positions in the past and has turned down a few, feeling that he still wasn't quite ready for that position yet.

However, recently Nathan was offered the position of XO aboard Outpost 42 near the Romulan border. He decided to take Star-fleet up on it's offer, and at once he was sent to the outpost. However, upon reaching the outpost, it was made clear to him that he was in command until the Captain and the rest of the senior staff returned aboard the USS Exodus.

He had spent much time on the outpost afterward. He befriended an El Aurian and became intimate with the COO, however things just hadn't worked out. They left on good terms though. And his eventual friendships and mentorship from the captain had grown fondly since then.

Physical Description: Black eyes (betazoid heritage, full blooded), clean shaven, light brown hair, physically fit (somewhat visible abs when shirt is off), 6 inch scar on right shoulder/upper chest.

Mental Description: Higher than average telepathy (but not to an extreme like few other betazoids). Cares about his crew. Knows tactics (because of CTO background).

Last Psychological Evaluation: Psychologically sound and fit for duty.

Last Physical Evaluation: Healthy and fit for duty.

It hadn't taken long for him to be promoted to the rank of Commander. That was one of Alexander's departing graces. With a new command Nathan had received orders from starfleet that he would be needed at command for a time. Once that time was up, he was informed that the USS Athena in Fleet 3 was going to need an XO, so he was sent there for his new missions.
