: : : : : : : : : : : : The information was akin to a combination security station and computer node. The scrolling screens of information moved too fast to really catch any text, English or otherwise.

: : : : : : : : : : : : The pictures were varied - some were camera like in different parts of the station, a couple outside viewing the outer docking ring of the station, one down in Engineering where the rest of the group was, one was monitoring the contact between the station and the Victorious, another was monitoring an image of the planet below with an eye to meteorology.

Aries told the station's computer. "Hey I'm sending you guys some more info, it should be popping up on your screens soon!" Aries shouted to the other belows. "Henry do you think, you can give me full access clearance, so I can download the stations and the planet full history and schemetics?!" Aries asked the chief engineer.

: : : : : : : : : : The first problem came up in that the technology was considerably different and there was some incompatibility with data transfer. While it was lower in technology than the Valkyrie, it had an organic component to it. However, that said, the tricorder could record what was going along the screens, thus enabling a partial gathering of data. It did slow, though, at Aries inquiry.

: : : : : : : Without warning the chamber shut down .. flickering once before the walls of the sphere that they were in faded to the default dark background and lighter green mottling.

He was still talking to the hologram he asked "Would it be possible for you to grant us access to your databanks?" He only thought of asking after he had replied to Aries. He waited for a response.

: : : : : : : "This may be po .." the hologram said, then without more warning shy of a sputtering of its being it disappeared. Elsewhere everything just dimmed to a degree.

: : : : : : Henry, without thinking, went to the control room. As he did he shouted "Lt. Eagle, have you still got power to the monitor? Our friend the hologram has dissappeared and I'm detecting a reduction in power. It is possible that the station is shutting down."

: : : : : : He arrived in the control room and began trying to figure out what had happened. He didn't notice anyone else in the room but he was so focused he wouldn't have noticed an emergency.

: : : : : "I'm not sure if that was me or not, but I have found the weapons systems, they seem to be targeting the Vicky." James replied.

: : : The console dimmed that James was looking at. Since he was the only one by a 'window' .. James would have seen a dimming outside as the beam that had been on the Vicki had halted. It was uncertain if what was done with the weapons system was automatic or whether it was something that James had touched.

: : : : "Confirm! That, Henry! We need shut down the weapons systems!" Aries shouted down the shaft.

: : Henry looked at the screens "I don't know what's happened but someone has activated the defence systems. I'm going to try and disable them by overloading them. As I can't figure out how to turn them off." Many of the controls were alien to him so he did his best. Pushing a few buttons he created what he thought would be a feedback loop so that when the weapons charged the power would reverse into the weapons destroying them. He hoped that this would work.

Fortunately for James there just wasn't enough power on the station to really do a feedback - and Henry would note in his working that it would be a challenge at this time for the station to actually fire anything with its current power levels.

However, that being said .. just as he and James were considering life, the universe and everything like that .. James was nearly blinded by a bright yellow beam that filled the area of space around where he was at. The station shook from this. Henry would note an increase in power levels at an incredible pace. The problem was - nothing else was really 'on' - it was like it was 'charging' as most of the energy Henry could see was going directly into the large containment device in the middle of the room where they were at.
