: Peyton stepped in taking a look around. He had not had a chance to vist the Counselor's office, or any of his department heads offices for that matter, since he came aboard.

: "Counselor, I just received this from Star Fleet command. It appears we are getting a new Executive Officer."

: He handed Amari the Padd he carried from his ready room. "I'm curious as to what you think?"

The Counsellor's office was Quiet with piano music playing in the background. The martian landscape still dominated the wall in the background. The fish tanks, with real fish, was on the right corner of her desk, and the small frame playing a holoslideshow was on the other corner.

She read the PaDD several times before looking up at the Captain.

"On a professional level, I will remind you that I like to spend a lot of time on the bridge observing people in action. Our new XO might not take to that. On a personal level, I will tell you that I find this completely counter intuitive and, on a deeper level, I wonder what the hell Star Fleet was thinking."
