: : : : : : : : : "Thank you." Henry replied. He stepped aside and tapped his comm badge =/\=Lt Patnick to Victorious. Captain, you need to move away from the station and the planet. Once the planet is the closest things to the station, the danger to the ship from the beam should stop and the station should power as it was designed. At the moment it believes we are one of its satellites that provided it with power.=/\=
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : Meanwhile, back on the ship, McGurrin grunted in some surprise. "Sir, I think the station just targeted us. Weapons systems uncertain but rudimentary."
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : Peyton had heard enough. this odd station had been firing a energy draining beam to him, now it's targeting weapons...
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : OOC: technically it was your COS who did that .. <G>
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : "Mr. McGurrin, let's get outta here. Helm, manuever use to the other side of the planet over the event horizon, that should stop the energy beam once we are out of line of sight to the station."
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : =^= "Mr. Dillingham, we're moving to over the event horizon. Hopefully that will give those ground stations what they need." =^=
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : =/\= Understood sir.=/\=
: : : : : :
: : : : : :
: : : : : : : "Aye, sir," McGurrin and the helm said consecutively. The image disappeared from the viewer as the course was laid in and executed, the surface of the planet changing as they moved around it.
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : The beam continued on as far as it could, then sputtered and halted, systems on the Victorious brightening and returning to normal quickly.

: : : : : : : OOC: More on the other effects in another thread. .

: : : : : : Andrew Monitored ships systems as they slowly came back online. He was just waiting for something else to go wrong.

: : : : :
: : : : : Andrew noted some minor system settings that switched automatically due to the fluctuations and remained in that setting awaiting manual input.

: : : : :
: : : : : OOC: These can be easily recalibrated by you Andrew, so just go ahead and work them out in your own creative way :)

: : : :
: : : : Andrew quickly recalibrated environmental controls so that the ship wouldn't get too uncomfortable as the power was restored. He then moved over to a control panel and started recalibrating inertial dampeners.
: : : :
: : : : He then moved to the master control panel to see what else needed to be calibrated.

: : :
: : : He started getting reports that the replicators were only yielding mussel and Limburger cheese sandwiches. It seemed that was the last thing that was ordered before the problems and now the only thing that was coming out ..
: : :
: : : However, as a notation from the planet - the large dish was rising out of the hole and settled. With a gradual motion it began to lock onto the station itself now that the ship was out of the way.
: : :
: : : And .. connected with a bright yellow beam from the planet to the station.

: :
: : Andrew looked at the panel and said sarcastically "Great. now I get to reboot the ships computer to try to get rid of this cheesy situation."
: :
: : Andrew thought it best to inform his DH of the situation. =/\= Dillingham to Patnick.=/\=

:
: =/\=Patnick here, go ahead ensign=/\= replied Henry as he was monitoring the weapons situation.
:
: Lt jg Patnick, CE

=/\= We have moved the ship away from the Station and it now appears to be going off of planetary power like it is supose to. Once the draining beam was broken all of our systems came back online with a few minor glitches. The replicators are only despensing the last thing ordered. I believe I need to reboot the main computer core to correct the problem. Whats your thoughts?=/\=
