While we wait for Brian's return from his much deserved LOA, I thought I would begin a quick discussion about the proposed policy for mentor lists (since the draft policy is already on the MOTD :) ).

The proposed policy is currently under the "Current Discussions" section of the MOTD, and is expected to form part of a future mandate on the mentor program (as we will be moving over to the 'mandate' system as part of the new PDICT).

Essentially, this 'new' policy is actually a formalizing something that has been an unwritten practice of the PDept for some time now. It was felt that some exact wording would help clarify some recent confusion on the issue.
