The Victorious, her crew replenished and refreshed, have been assigned to assess the readiness of the people of Abraxas for Federation membership. The people of Abraxas have just finished a civil war so there is much to assess and many questions that mush be answered.
One of those questions involves the fact that Abraxas has the distinction of being a world where magic is in everyday function. I'm sure that this fact is a curiosity that Starfleet needs to explain and understand before membership can be granted.

The Victorious was able to find a way to power the station, and we have retrieved our Away Team. After debriefing, it was determined that the station had been using power from obitial satellites and that was why the Victorious was being hit by energy draining beams. The station had mistaken the Victorious as one of these satellites. In my report I have recommended that a science ship be dispatched to the station to learn more about it's unique properties and to discover the stations builders efforts to save their planets flora and fauna.

I have orderded the evacuation of the Away Teams from the station, due to the immediate danger posed by the creatures the chronometric storm has deposited.
Lt. Eagle has lead the extraction mission using several of the Victorious' shuttles. He has yet to return.
On the advice of my Chief Engineer we have attracted the energy draining beam to our main deflector disc and are currently re-directing it's power back to the station. I have ordered the Victorious on an extraction run of our own to get any of the remaining Away Team members before we leave the system.

I have assumed Command of the USS Victorious under Starfleet Order 130 being the senior officer aboard. I have now been brought up to speed on our situation.
The ship is in orbit over a research station located on the planet surface. This station is the focus of two Away Teams. Currently both Teams are reporting very odd readings and events on the surface. Science teams are detecting chromomatic particle in almost a time distortion storm. This storm has trapped both of my Away Teams on the station.

My attempts to solve the the Command delema aboard the Victorious have hit a snag. The ranking medical officer ordered a quarentine of those officers and crew who had been in contact with the two infected officers. This meant that I was orderd to report to Sickbay for an exam.
After an exhausting scan, I was declared virus free. I wanted to stay and find out more, so I volunteered to do research with those attempting to solve what had happened to Captain Malory.

Having spoken with Commander Calliva, I find that I will have to tread carefully. I intend to use my diplomatic communication channels to prevent the crew from finding out my inqueries. I hate going behind the back of a crew I intend to lead, but until I known what Starfleet's intentions are, I feel it's better for all if I do it covertly.

I have just come aboard my new Command to find that the center seat is still occupied. Captain Mallory has been incapacitated while on an Away mission, and was being brought aboard just as I arrived.
I'm going to lay low for awhile and interact with the crew until the Victorious' command situation becomes clearer.

I have just been given command of a new ship, the USS Victorious. While this will a larger ship than I am used to, she has the same basic mission that of scientific research and exploration.
I have yet to meet my crew, but i have been told by Starfleet Command they are the best in the fleet.
Flet Captain Peyton R. Quirst, Comanding Officer USS Victorious.

In a odd twist of fate I find myself and my ship in the Neutral zone helping a disabled Romulan vessel. What they are doing here exactly is unknown as of yet. We've been hit by some kind of energy wave but have suffered no damage as of yet. It is my intention to get done with the repairs as quick as possible and get back to Federation space.
