Excelled in Earth Academy in reasoning, hand to hand combat and over all skills. Not so good in communication skills with fellow cadets.

Did well on the Challenger. Excelled in his position but was weak with personal skills with fellow shipmates. Seen as somewhat arrogant. Best friend, a Starfleet officer, killed by Cardassians 2 years ago in incident near Cardassian Border.
