Grewing up in a wealthy (High Strung) Family, Paul Bartram was used to getting his own way, which gives him his ussual ovrconfident Nature.
This Overconfidence generally leads to him finding himself in a whole lot of trouble.
Finally one day he got himself into so much trouble that he was acctual put under arrest.
His father Bailed him out but only on the condtion that he enlisted to Starfleet Academy, His father hoped it would build some disipline in him.
it was either Starfleet or get left out of his will
he shortly after enlisted in starfleet doing is best and finaly graduated but none the Less he still holds that Over confident side.
