Boda’s naturally inclination towards science led him to leave the colony of Dorvan V in the DMZ to pursue his further studies and escape the rural atmosphere of the colony.

His family first arrived to Dorvan V to set up a Federation Trading Post under contract assisting the newly settled Native Americans. The planet became a favorite for privateers because of its small neutral population under Cardassian rule after the Federation-Cardassian Treaty.

Boda learned the tactics of discreet trade and surviving encounters with Maquis (colonists), Breen, Xepolites, and Cardassians. He could have continued his family business with high profits but also high risk. He left the business to his two brothers and half sister for science studies at Berkeley University on Earth. His studies and marks were fair but his knowledge of DMZ life caught the interest of the Academy and he was recruited. Although he is not much more than a lab assistant, he is well suited for Federation space research and travel.

Mental ability: He trusts no one, is solitary and will take secrets to his grave. Short on patience and can be thorn in one’s side if provoked.

Physical: Short and stout. Testing shows he has minimal endurance and a slight respiratory difficulty. He has several scars on his leg, giving him a slight limp and laser burns on his left shoulder and arm.
