AWOL Policy

This policy has been in effect since December 21, 2001

The master roster is used to check the status of all characters in the Fleet. Please make sure you use it to check your ship as well

Chain of Command

On the Ship (In Character and Out Of Character)

  1. Captain or Commanding Officer
  2. First (or Executive) Officer
  3. Second Officer (if appointed)
  4. Department Heads according to rank
  5. Junior Officers according to rank

Fleet Level (Out Of Character - for STF Administrative Purposes)

  1. Fleet Commander *
  2. Assistant Fleet Commander †
  3. Commanding Officers according to club rank
  4. First Officers according to club rank
  5. Second Officer (if appointed) according to club rank
  6. Deparment Heads OR Most Senior Member of the Ship according to STF hierarchy

*NB: For matters concerning the Fleet Commander, the highest level is the Assistant Fleet Commander.

†NB: For matters concerning the Assistant Fleet Commander or the CO of the Atlantis or the XO of the Resolution, this level is skipped.

Appointment of XO

  • At the event of the resignation of the Executive Officer (XO), the Commanding Officer is empowered to choose a replacement.
  • For Fleet 3, the Fleet Commander reserves the right to give his/her consent to the appointment (as per Hemenway Edict #39, Section F: "A CO may appoint his or her own XO with the consent of the Fleet Commander, should the Fleet Commander choose to exercise such authority.").
  • Thus, the Commanding Officer is required to inform the Fleet Commander of his/her choice.
  • The Fleet Commander would inform his/her consent to the Commanding Officer by email.

Gamemaster Hiring

Main Policy

  • Gamemasters in Fleet Three are appointed at the approval of the Fleet Commander.

How the hiring is done?

  • A Commanding Officer requiring a Gamemaster should seek out a suitable candidate
  • The Commanding Officer should then submit the candidate’s name to the Fleet Commander.
  • The Fleet Commander would then approve the appointment by email.

Special Case Missions

  • Approval for mission types other than the normal mission will be given according to the stipulations found in OGRE 1.7 Section 12.
  • Regarding more information on Gamemaster policies that are not outlined above, please refer to OGRE 1.7
