Service record: Served as the CO on the USS Black Pearl during the Dominion War. She held that position for 10 years prior to the war.
She was decorated with the Starfleet Award for Valor and the Starfleet Decoration of Gallantry for actions performed during the war.

Other notable career accomplishments include serving as the XO on the USS Genoa, the COS aboard the USS Destiny and as a Security JO on the USS Monitor.

After the Dominion War, she had been offered a promotion to admiral, but she felt that her home was in space and aboard a star ship. It would be punishment to sit around filling out and approving various forms and sending others out to explore or broker peace agreements. But she realized that she was tired and the loss of friends and comrades during the war had caused her enthusiasm for her job to waver. She needed a change of pace.

She requested a posting at the Academy to help instruct the next generation of officers and to teach them to learn from the mistakes that had cost the lives of so many. The response to her request was immediate and she was offered a position on the teaching staff. She taught basic security tactics and the survival course, before being assigned as the CO of the Discovery.

Personal Information:
Her career was always the focus of her life and she never saw having a family of her own as being possible due to the commitment she gave to her job.

She had been engaged briefly and had several serious relationships but in the end her dedication to Star Fleet was more than her dedication to the men in her life.

The war took a toll on Jacqueline as she saw many of her close friends either killed or they had lost loved ones during the war. As her career is in its twilight years, she has been beginning to have doubts about whether she made the right choice. Lately she has began to feel once she retires, she will have nothing but her memories.

She requested the posting on the Discovery, so she could help train new officers to avoid some of the mistakes that got so many killed during the Dominion war.
