Captains Log,

As I now had settled into my new position as captain of the Bonaventure, I find that my crew are regarded a local hero's. The Shangerian government is now stable thanks to the efforts of the landing party led by Commander Bruce Smail and MACO Lt Scott Blake in apprehending the wayward Centurion Draxis in his kidnapping attempt.

In Blake's report, he praised healer Stovik's ability to think outside the box. I'm not entirely sure what he meant by that and the young man didn't elaborate. He went on to mention Private Simmons dedication to duty and Ensign Elemmire Serinde's willingness to cooperate, face danger and quick decision making. Lt. Blake has planned to promote Private Simmons to the rank of Corporal and recommended Ensign Serinde for promotion as well. Healer Stovik, while not part of this human crew and holding no rank has received a commendation, which is little more than an elaborate "thank you", on behalf of Starfleet. Sub Commander T'Ler has received one as well based on the report provided by commander Smail Since She is part of the Vulcan science and exploration division of her government.

AS for "Admiral" Smail and "General" Blake..... I believe they enjoyed the misconception that there jumped up rank's provided with the Shangerians. Still, the two did lead the landing party and I sent in a recommendation for there immediate promotion. Thus far I have heard no word and Lt. Blake seems to think I will not hear one from the Military.

WE have broken orbit now to continue our mission of exploration. I for one can't wait to see what's out there.
