: : : Just as a follow up on the question of accessibility for users ... are there members of the club who use things other than screen readers to access STF? Is it worthwhile us looking at ways to see if our pages can meet their needs as well as those who use screen readers?
: : :
: : : What about for people who might use blackberries and their like?
: : :
: : Here, it might just be a case of having a simplified theme available for mobile users, perhaps activated by going to an URL: i.e. http://www.star-fleet.com/mobile .. for example.
: :
: : I can't speak for using a Blackberry but I sometimes access STF from my mobile (Samsung Tocco) when I'm on the move and I've found that my issues are mainly in the theme and even then accessibility, on my phone I find the site to be easily accessible.. but I don't know what its like for others. Certainly something to be thinking about I'd think.
: :
: : : Sorry for bringing this up at Christmas time, but I didn't want to forget it :D

: I know using my old phone that the text of the post didn't not fill the width of the screen. The other issue is that it took ages for each page to load, which is why I started using Google's RSS reader.
:
: This really is something I think is 'highly desirable' rather than essential or even desirable. Maybe once we've sorted out other things, we can look into this again.

Sounds cool to me.. it is kinda nice to access STF on my phone but there are larger problems and this more of a want than a need.
