Dan was born on Earth and grew up in Central Texas. Dan grew up watching the ship construction yards through his telescope and always wanted to be on one of those ships. At his first opportunity Dan joined Starfleet and after graduating from the Academy joined the Apollo crew.

Dan is a bit sarcastic at times but has an easygoing attitude and is easy to get along with.
