Ezekiel Carter is from the northern New Jersey area, American Continent, Earth. Growing up He took a lot of abuse and was almost always being made fun of due to his less than common name and devotion to learning. By High school he had learned to defend himself fairly well. During his sophomore year he broke the jaw of a classmate who started cracking jokes over his name. Following this event no one thought to bother him again. This was also the time one of his friends coined the nickname 'Zeke' and it stuck.

Upon High School graduation he decided to take his strength and smarts to Starfleet. Having a general interest in weapons and combat tactics; both of the modern day as well as throughout history; He signed on to the Tactical division. Due to his choice of positions he majored in criminal justice and tacked on law classes while at the academy. Upon graduation he was trained not only as a security officer but his additional law classes gave him the cross training to be made a field lawyer to represent starfleet if needed. His weapons training includes a .97 efficiency rating with most Starfleet issued EM pulse sidearms, .91 Rating with EM Rifles, and a .99 rating with the new Phase Pistols. He has served as security on two of Earths Warp 3 ships, as well as spending 6 months on a Vulcan Training mission as part of an officer exchange program initiated by Starfleet with one of Vulcan's Sub-ministers of Defense. During that mission he learned the basics of Vulcan's simpler martial arts techniques as well as advanced survival skills.
