: : : I've done a quick look through of what you've done, Jason. It looks good so far to me, Jason.
: : :
: : : One thing I noticed ... the name of the GM Department Bylaw is OGRE, not ORGE.

: : : Russell

Oops.

: : I haven't had time to go over this in detail, and probably won't until there's a more refined version, but at a glance I found a few grammar issues (nothing major though). Also, I wonder about the OGRE section. You've restated the entrance requirements, which I think are more appropriate in the introduction, which you've done, and to restate them is redundant. I think the expanded info about what happens after you pass the test might go there too? I don't know, it just seems like a weird thing to put in the course itself. Second, is there a reason a GMT needs to know about the GM ranking system in the GMT course? The unwritten insert parts, death notices, discipline, and disputes (the three D's of GMing??? hehehe) seem very much more important content to me.
: :
: : Otherwise, seems very good so far, and I love the tone you've taken with the intro.
: :
: : Just some thoughts. :)

You're right, it should be a brief guide to ORGE, anything they should immediately know about being a GM and anything beyond that should refer to the document.

: I know I haven't kept up with this thread as of yet but I took the time now to look at this and the original course and I have to say that I do not really see the need to revise the actual course. It appears to have all essential elements that we need new GMs to be aware of. Now I agreed that the exam itself needs looking at as it is very difficult at present and does take a considerable amount of time to get through. But as for this course, it is thorough and understandable. Why are we revising it?

The content may be fine, Krys, but the way that is presented needs a little bit of fixing. Additionally, there are a few parts that need to be removed. I also felt there needs to be a slight expansion to give new GMs a sense of what to do and how to do it. Lastly, while the document is well written, I feel that a few things need to be shifted around.
