Early Life
Tiana was born on Trill as Tiana Relas to Ronel and Eris Relas (a joined trill). Her parents had a boy later on when she was 5 years old. However, shortly after giving birth to Oram, Eris contracted a rare illness that afflicts symbionts. Sadly, the illness could not be cured, as it was contracted some time during the pregnancy, but stayed dormant until the hormonal changes caused it to activate. Eris died about a week after giving birth.

Despite losing her mother, Tiana grew up happy and helped her father to take care of Oram. At age 17, she decided to enroll in star-fleet, where she enrolled in the sciences. She has always been fascinated by all aspects of science, but overall, her all time favorite field is biology. After graduating, she spent the next year traveling around the planets of the federation, looking at the different organisms that lived on the planets she visited.

During her stay on Risa, she fell in love with Austin, who was taking some time off of the Atlantis to cool himself off. They spent the next months dating, and eventually, Austin asked Tiana to marry him. She said yes, however, when discussing plans with her father, Ronel mentioned that she had been picked to receive a symbiont. Tiana and Austin decided to hold off on the wedding until she returned from the joining. After saying good bye to each other, they both departed for their respective destinations.

Tiana went the next couple of weeks getting used to the new conciousness that was inside her, the Ves symbiont. It wasn't an easy process, since she was being joined to a symbiont that had recently became mature. The symbiont therefore had to adjust to the feelings that Tiana felt for Austin, as symbionts typically don't have much concern over emotional attachment. After saying goodbye to her family, Tiana boarded a transport that was enroute to the Atlantis.

Shortly after leaving, Tiana began experiencing some discomfort, which she dismissed as some residual adjustment to the symbiont. Upon heading to sickbay for her physical aboard the Atlantis, the cause for the discomfort was revealed that she was 4 weeks into a pregnancy. The symbiont obviously was having some difficulties due to the changes to Tiana's body. Tiana decided to keep this particular piece of information a secret from Austin. However, as Trill typically have a shorter pregnancy than humans, it won't be long that she will have to tell him the truth.

Physical appearance: Blond hair, gray eyes, average physique.

Medical record: Other than being pregnant with her first child, she has an unremarkable medical history other than some childhood trill illnesses that she got over.
