February 2010 Report - Fleet 6 on Starfleet Command
Fleet 6 Report - February 2010
FComm - Carrotus Prime (symon Silvester)
AFComm - The Good, The Bad and the Tribble (Russell Watt)
Please note that I am currently on LOA, and so my individual reports are not in here.
Welcome to Helen Hosick as the new XO on the Olympic and to Ty Napier as the new XO on the Vanguard.
Well done to all on the Merrimack and Vanguard for the way they've continued to improve. All other ships in the Fleet seem to be doing well, based on the reports received ... Out of the 16 possible reports, 13 were submitted, with myself on LOA which brings it up to 15 out of 16. Should the other report be received in the next few days, the report will be resubmitted with that report included as well.
Anyway, here are the reports!
Oed V
Governor - Russell Watt
Report excused - LOA
Lt Governor - Bob Spicer
Crew posting level: 5
Senior staff posting level: 5
Overall ship health: 5
Ship status: OEDV! What can one say. Crime level is down somewhat . Spring is in the air with discussions of barbecues , Garret is being himself , we've a marriage and the Captain of the Marine contingent has just beat up a reporter . Just an average day at OED!
Positions Vacant: Swings, Civilians
FComm
Overall ship health: 8
Comments: Going from strength to strength. As always. Excellent place.
Olympic
CO - 2001: A Bunny Odyssey (or is that Oddity)
Crew posting level: 8
Senior staff posting level: 6
Overall ship health: 7
Ship status: Change of XO to see Helen join us is great, but to have Al depart leaves some big flippersized shoes. Helen can fill them, even if she has to watch Blue Peter endlessly until she can make some. The ship and crew and sim is progressing. The crew is active and seem to be posting. My own absence is the main reason the ship slides down, purely because so much relies on me and I can only post weekly.
XO - Hells - provider of carrots to the carroty one
Crew posting level: 8
Senior staff posting level: 8
Overall ship health: 9
Ship status: The ship is doing well and our trusty CO/GM is keeping us ticking over even though RL is biting him in the butt, he still keeps us going, there is currently a team on the command level of the bridge trying to suss out whats happening as well as another team in Engineering working out what the energy drain is, another has encountered the prisoners and its all going ticketyboo. Also there are a number of side sims going on to keep the ship busy whilst our fearless leader LOA. Welcome to Linda Gray as CNS and Ty as Assistant IO and Russ as a Tavern Owner also we have some crew return from LOAs so we are rather active.
Spotlight(s): For me spotlights would have to go to Crissy Nessing our fantabulous CE, Ty Napier Sec officer and Harley Cartee COS, they have all been working exceptionally well on the ship, though the ship as a whole have been working well.
Positions Vacant: Scientists, Security Officers
GM - 2001: A Bunny Odyssey (or is that Oddity)

Comments: The ship and rpers are posting well, despite my time constraints. Kudos to them!
Genesis
CO - Jen Herr
Crew posting level: 8
Senior staff posting level: 6
Overall ship health: 8
Ship status: We were plugging along really well with the sim. Most people were active and had something to do, though there are a few people who have not contributed to the main sim yet. With our GM, Russ', LOA, I've had to take emergency measures to try and keep this momentum going, and I hope it doesn't turn out to be a disaster
Spotlight(s): Terry Calvin who plays Ensign Bo for keeping the Cargo Bay thread moving appropriately.
XO - Liz Caro
Crew posting level: 6
Senior staff posting level: 7
Overall ship health: 8
Ship status: We are working on a wonderful sim with Russ. It is going to be interesting now that we have a hidden intruder that has attacked some members of the crew. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
GM - Russell Watt
Report Excused - LOA

Comments: Impressed. As always.
Europa
CO - D Grisham
Crew posting level: 7
Senior staff posting level: 7
Overall ship health: 7
Ship status: We have been confronted in orbit by a Romulan vessel who's Captain insists we return his people. They are having a dialog now with Bane trying to convince him she knows nothing about them. Meanwhile, two away teams are down on the planet trying to investigate the 'dead zone'. Both parties have run into locals and are dealing with them as unobtrusively as possible. The Kopaki are a non warp technology so it is important for them to not exhibit the technology of the 23/24 century. The CO and CMO have begun an affair that I believe will go somewhere which should make for interesting role playing.
Spotlight(s): Terry Calvin has come up with some interesting background for the species Houdol that she invented. I am looking forward to seeing it blossom and develop.
Positions Vacant: Chief Science Officer
XO - Harley Cartee
Crew posting level: 8
Senior staff posting level: 7
Overall ship health: 8
Ship status: Due in part to my sudden LOA the posting level slowed slightly this month. D really stepped up by posting for my character while I was away.
The sim is progressing nicely and it promises to be very interesting. There are currently two away teams with altered features, mingling with the native people in order to locate a missing shuttle crew. The Europa has it's own troubles as they are face to face with an advanced Romulan ship.
Overall, the ship's health is good. I look forward to a very exciting month ahead.
Spotlight(s): Terry Calvin is amazing as the CSO Arba Shusho. Her posts are very entertaining.
Positions Vacant: 1 Engineer and 1 Scientist

Ship Name: USS Europa
Overall ship health: 7
Comments: Good. Seems to be going places.
Merrimack
CO - David Fergusson
Crew posting level: 7
Senior staff posting level: 8
Overall ship health: 7
Ship status: The posting levels in both frequency and quality are higher than they have been for a long time. In addition, the number of crew is very healthy and I have a number of people contacting me to join us. We must be doing something right. The Sim is continuing on several different fronts and timelines, though not to complicated to get lost. I always have plenty to read when I log in. I'm looking forward to discovering what is going on both on the planet and with the flotilla of ships that has arrived.
Positions Vacant: Swings
XO - Robert Archer
Crew posting level: 8
Senior staff posting level: 8
Overall ship health: 8
Ship status: Things are moving great this month, side, and main sim timeline wise no real complaints either that i saw
Positions Vacant: Engineers, Medical Officers, Scientists, Security Officers
GM - Gene Gibbs
Crew posting level: 5
Senior staff posting level: 7
Overall ship health: 6
Sim overview: Right .. the ducklings have been shooed on board the shuttle with the pig and bbq in tow, having found the apparent negotiator Serena Williams after a bit of a goose chase. The main group have headed down to the Hollandaise mining colony to broker some kind of resolution to a hostage situation occurring on the colony. After a brawl a series of miners had taken several others in the mine administrative buildings hostage. The hope is that a bbq pig roast will have folks lower their guard and start talking. As the month ends they have reached the colony and, having met with the mayor, is heading to the mayor's office to discuss the situation.
Meanwhile on the station, the clean up continues on the engineering side of things with filter replacements and tests to curb and hopefully cure the infestation of Denobulan fever on board. One crew, however, has disappeared. One survivor has been found from that group. He was found near death with a severe electrical injury. He should, however, survive, though it was also noted that Lt Kee, the station senior engineer has died due to the skull fracture injury that he sustained shortly before the station repairs were to go online.
As the group is off on the colony, Bren remains on board with a smattering of other crew. They were visited by a group of wandering 'gypsies'. Their leader Ranger Seven and three others have come aboard to negotiate trade and aid. These are nomadic 'clones' who travel about, reputedly leaving behind them a series of minor legal infractions in their wake. They are, by definition, a modern example of the gypsy.
Now that we have a CSO again, the gone but not forgotten probes to the Smokestack nebula will again be resurrected.
Spotlight(s): Our good CO for pushing things along in the sim. It has done quite well this month with many posts and the sim moving off to the planet (yes!). Things will come together .. really they will, with all the disparate threads going on.

Overall ship health: 7
Comments: We have life Jim! Insane, bizarre, but what a transformation the Merrimack is now active and fun. Well done! Keep it up!
Vanguard
CO - Al Sutherland
Crew posting level: 7
Senior staff posting level: 5
Overall ship health: 7
Ship status: Ships health is good, we're in the tail end of our sim. Our DH's are posting like mad and so are most of our JO's, we've had a small lag in XO posting due to not having one for a while. However thats been resolved and our new XO has already started posting and doing her OOC jobs better than I could ever have asked for! We should have some new Sciecne folk in the coming days as well as a CSO.
I've had to cut back on my work on the Vanguard due to a sudden RL problem which will be....solved by tuesday, my XO however is keeping the ship together by what seems like sheer determinations and lots of duct tape!
We've had a slight IC/OOC issue with rank onboard which will be quickly sorted...
Spotlight(s): XO, for being able to land on her feet and doing all of those things that XO's somehow do!
DH's, all of them for causing havoc and basically doing thier jobs....if they do them any better I'll be out of a job! :o
GM: For being evil?
Positions Vacant: Chief Science Officer, Engineers, Medical Officers, Scientists, Security Officers, Swings. In desperate need for pilots!
XO - Ty Napier
Crew posting level: 5
Senior staff posting level: 5
Overall ship health: 5
Ship status: As of right now, most players are within the 3/5/7 AWOL limits. That does not always tend to be the case. I have sent out notices to the DH's asking them to help step up the posting rate. I have gotten off to a slow start as the new XO, but plan on spending the next 30 days bolstering up the roster and posting rate.
Spotlight(s): Tom Hillman, Jacob Seime, Crissy Nessing, Liz Caro and Patrick Blum for doing an excellent job keeping the SIMM moving with creative and fun posting while staying within AWOL limits.
Positions Vacant: Chief Science Officer, Engineers, Scientists, Security Officers, Swings.
We currently have no science department and really need a strong CSO. Also, in high need of some more pilots, science and engineering JO's.
GM - Brandon Irvine
Crew posting level: 5
Senior staff posting level: 5
Overall ship health: 5
Sim overview: Due to some papers and projects eating my soul over the past couple of weeks, I have not been a very active GM on the Vanguard. This however has not stopped the crew from doing as I want/need them to, as they have managed to shut down the warp drive and deposit the ship in the Solar System and headed for Earth at impulse to fulfill the General's revenge mission.
Security and Tactical are working to "cause trouble" throughout the ship and eventually rescue the Captain, and Medical is wandering around in a Jefferies' Tube somewhere between Sickbay and the Battle Bridge, where they just might find more trouble than they expect.
Hopefully, the Captain can be rescued and the General thrown off the ship by the end of March. It would be my shortest sim ever, which, considering it's been going on for 9 months now, is both a good and a bad thing.
Spotlight(s): Chief Engineer Crissy Nessing has done a bang-up job this month in both sabotaging the ship and fixing the Medical staff's sabotage. +100 cocktails to her.
FComm
Overall ship health: 7
Comments: Improving and getting better now Al is dedicating more time and they have a new XO
Golden Carrot: Lee Bridgeford for being concerned about the Fleet 6 Command Staff and offering his assistance if needed.
PoM-Pom: Terry Calvin's posts continue to impress across multiple Fleet 6 ships.
NB: Please note the names used by Sy and Helen this month for their reports
