Bridge on USS Polaris

Suddenly seemingly from out of no where the ship rocked violently as if a torpedo had just hit her. The red alert klaxon began sounding as people began to pick themselves up off the floors of the ship.
Then the Bridge crew noticed in front of them a Romulan Warbird de-cloaking off the bow of the Polaris...
