I know I gave the approximate date for the new GM exam to go live as around the 10th.

Unfortunately, it's not quite there yet. However, it is close, the exam is written, I'm just waiting to hear back from a few experienced folk on the content to ensure we're presenting a better exam than what exists at present. Provided nothing major changes in the draft, I can tell you that most(if not all) the irrelevant questions have been removed and overall the exam is worth less points(the present one is 200 points, which I think is a bit cruel, I've only written one exam over 150 points and that includes my entire bachelor's degree and the present legal assistant diploma I'm working on, they're painful to write!). The basic format is similar though.

I'd like to thank everyone for being patient, I'm hoping that the new exam will be live soon and I will announce it here once it is.

And in case anyone is curious about who will be marking these exams, at present it shall be Kevin Harbison, until the new course(and corresponding exam) can be rewritten.
