: : : : : : : : Suddenly seemingly from out of no where the ship rocked violently as if a torpedo had just hit her. The red alert klaxon began sounding as people began to pick themselves up off the floors of the ship.

: : : : : : : : Then the Bridge crew noticed in front of them a Romulan Warbird de-cloaking off the bow of the Polaris...

: : : : : : : Seraph steadied himself on the tactical console. "Permission to return fire?" He said, raising the shields and loading a volley of Quantum torpedos.

: : : : : : In the holodeck the room flickered and the program shut down. The red alert klaxon sounded and the doors to the passage way opened up. Alexander started his way through the ship almost hitting the bulkheads and mowing down crewmen as they were trying to get out of the way.

: : : : : : He got to the turbolift and screamed at the computer to send him to the bridge.

: : : : : "Red alert, all hands to battlestations!" Rhynia snapped from her chair on the bridge, instantly regretting her earlier remark to herself about how boring things were, "Permission granted Mr. Seraph, return fire."

: : : : Before Seraph could hit the button to return fire he noticed his console beeping....they were being hailed by the Warbird

: : : "Seraph," Linus said as he walked over to him. "What was that? Retalliation?" He watched as Seraph tapped away at the console. The Romulan ship was hailing them.

: : "Retaliation for what, ensign? And it's 'Sir', 'Chief' or 'Lieutenant', if you don't mind." Seraph said keeping a finger hovering over the fire button regardless of the hail.

: The doors opened to the turbolift and Alexander stepped out. A small amount of blood trickled down his face from Gods know when and what. He stood next to Seraph on the left side of the console and quietly and quickly started to check the situation as to what was happening. He noticed where Seraph's figre was.

"Hold fire," Rhynia ordered, "Let's hear what they have to say. Better be a damn good explanation, keep your hand close to the fire buttons," she told Seraph.

=^=Asani to Q'tal, sir, the Romulan Warbird's hailing us, I'm going to answer,=^= Rhynia looked around to see if the Captain had snuck onto the bridge without her noticing in the heat of the moment before turning her attention to the viewscreen, her eyes alert and hopefully ready for anything.
