: : : : Sares quickly entered the Bridge seconds later....wondering what was going on.

: : : : "Status?" He said out loud.

: : : "Romulan warbird fired on us, now they're hailing us," Rhynia responded, "I was just about to answer their hail to find out just what kind of game they think they're playing."

: : "On screen!" He shouted as he turned towards the screen in front of his seat.

: : The screen flashed up and the hectic Bridge of the Romulan ship shown before them....

: : "Why have you fired on us!!??" The Commander on the Warbird asked.

: : "What do you mean fired on you Commander?" Sares asked in reply "Your ship fired on us." He added.

: : "That is not true...we were on a survey mission on the 3rd planet in this system when your ship popped up on our sensors. Before we knew it you were upon us and we were hit with a phaser salvo." The Commander said.

: : Sares turned to Asani.....

: : "Commander?" He asked seeking the truth in this matter

: "We haven't fired, we were about to *after* we got hit with a torpedo, and it wasn't phasers we were going to use, I believe Seraph had a volley of torpedoes at the ready," Rhynia replied.

He took in the information and wondered what was going on...

"Commander...I assure you our ship did not fire upon yours. I tell you I do not understand what has happened here."

"Captain...this is a little hard to believe that we were both attacked and made to believe it was the other that was the aggressor." The Commander added snidely.

"Perhaps we can propose a truce in order to find out what has happened here, and we shall make our findings known to each other." The Captain requested.

The Romulan thought about the Captain proposal for a few seconds and decided.

"Agreed...for now." The Romulan said. "But I swear to you Captain...if we are attacked again you and your crew will pay." He threatened.

"There is no need for threats Commander as I will protect my ship and crew against any additional attacks as well. Q'Tal out."

The screen went back to the image of the Warbird ff their bow...

"Now, what the hell happened?" The Captain asked frankly as he turned back to Commander Asani.
