: : : Sharon took in all of this information about the Orions. She hadn't had much experience with the race herself, apart from Treena, who had seemed harmless enough to her. She made a mental note to herself to keep her wits about her on this mission.

: : : "Sir, I agree with Dan about using the unexplored tunnels," she replied to the Commander. "As for splitting the team, I don't like the idea of reducing our numbers, but it will be easier to remain hidden if we're in smaller groups, so there may be some benefit to it."

: : "Very well then, this is how we'll do it, three teams. First one led by Lt Miller, approaching from here," he tapped at one point on the map, "Second team led by Lt Mason, approaching from here. Third one led by Lt Gallagher. 1 security, medical, science and engineering cadet with each team (ooc at the moment, they are just NEs ... with the NEs replaced/added to as new Cadets join the Apollo.) I will stay here, ... I'm in charge of this, so i should probably follow Starfleet regulations regarding such situations. If there are no further discussions, get to the transporter room and transport down. Go well, Lieutenants, Cadets, the success or otherwise of this depends on you."

"Aye, Sir," Sharon said. "Engineering NE Frost, Science NE Vasquez and Security NE Hudson, you're with me. Let's go."

: Terrik listened to what was said, examining the map the Comander was indicating on.

: "Aye, Sir." Terrik replied to the dismissal.

: As they began heading towards the transporter room Terrik fell in step beside Lt. Miller. "I will accompany you if I may Lieutenant?"

Sharon turned to Terrik and smiled. "I'd be glad to have you with me, Doctor."

Sharon's outer confidence was doing a fairly good job of masking the nerves she felt inside, but having Terrik, a man that she trusted and considered a friend, with her, made her feel a little stronger.

As the group entered the transporter room she signalled for them all to take their places on the transporter pad.

"We are beaming into an unknown, and possibly dangerous, situation," she said. "But I have every confidence that I have been given the best cadets Starfleet has to offer. Stay calm and remember your training. Stick together and help each other. Together we can handle anything down there."

As she took her own place on the transporter she turned to Security NE Hudson. "Phaser at the ready, Cadet," she instructed him quietly.

"Okay, beam us down."
