: : : : : : : : Dan wondered about the distant look in the Counselor's eyes and was curious what burden she was carrying. "Yes. I too find people fascinating. Especially the interactions and the roots of their cultural mores and folkways. Norms can tell much about a culture. Not just where it is but the way the culture developed."

: : : : : : : : After pausing for a bit and taking a look towards the bar Dan continued. "No one should keep their ability private or hidden away. Some would consider a person that does to be aloof. I consider such a one to be worthless because they do not contribute."

: : : : : : : Sira stepped into the lounge pausing only for a moment before ordering a drink of Cerulian Tea. Taking it up upon delivery she made her way to the outskirts of a gathering of her fellow shipmates, not wishing to intrude. She found herself sitting down in a nearby booth, sitting and drinking very formally without any conscious thought.

: : : : : : Burnett's head wobbled unsteadily, his body tensing up and eyes opening, as Bi'ran sat down in the boot next to him. Obviously he had fallen asleep, the tumbler of amber colored liquid now warm and diluted in what had previously been ice cubes. He blinked a few times, at a loss for what had happened before he realized he had dozed off in six forward. Looking over at what had startled him awake, he smiled briefly.

: : : : : : "Bi'ran, a pleasure to see you. The maintenance you performed on your last duty shift checked out optimally, good work."

: : : : : : He picked up the glass, sipping briefly before managing a grimace and replacing it where it had originally sat.

: : : : : : "Apparently I've been dozing for quite some time." He said, a bit red in the face.

: : : : : Looking at Burnett she frowned slightly "Thanks. You alright?"

: : : : : For some reason Sira's mind went back to one of the parties her parents dragged her to when she was younger.

: : : : : "You know you really shouldn't sleep here like that."

: : "Sleep wasn't the objective, fortunately. Was just trying to get something to drink to liven me up...Obviously it didn't do the trick." Burnett shook his head at his last statement, and looked at his watch.

: : "And hell, my duty shift starts in an hour. Oh well, guess my recreational work can wait until tomorrow. So tell me about yourself a bit, Sira."

: : Burnett looked inquisitive, the color in his face draining back to a normal fleshy tone as his embarrassment and aggravation passed. He waved to one of the wait staff, clearly indicating he wanted another drink. Whether or not they even recalled what he had had in the first place was another matter entirely.

: : : : Dan turns his head as a sudden movement in the corner of his eye catches his attention. Dan sees the chief engineer start suddenly as if awakened. Dan wonders what could be keeping the engineering department so busy that their department head would fall asleep in the lounge. Dan notices a drink on the table and briefly considers taking the drink to the science lab for analysis.

: : : Tahlia followed the Lieutenants gaze and noticed a rather red faced chief engineer. A smile widened about her mouth and her eyes glistened slightly as she was clearly amused by the sight. "You know, when it comes to finding people fasinating, I always find the lounge on every star ship provides the best subjects for study," she said laughing a little. "A hard days work in enginnering do you think? Or staying up to late in the holosuites?"

: "What is it you wanna know about me? I mean that's a rather open ended question. I'm the only one in my family with any interest in anything remotely engineering related. Which my father hates."

"What made you choose star fleet over a private sector job, or even something planet side? People get into engineering for their love of it, but people often get into star fleet for other reasons, in my experience."
