: : : : : : IC: The team shuffled slowly down the dark tunnel, with Cadet Narvak leading the way. The silence that surrounded them was broken only by the scraping of their feet against the rocky floor, and the occasional bleep of a tricorder. Sharon's heart was beating heavily against her chest and she wondered if they could all hear it reverberating in the confines of the small passage.

: : : : : : Sharon kept the tunnel schematics on her tricorder screen, attempting to follow the quickest route to the centre of the complex. They made slow but steady progress for a while, and undisturbed, Sharon took the time to study their surroundings.

: Sharon stopped walking and turned to Narvak. "You think we're being watched?" she said. Even as the words left her mouth she felt her pulse quicken slightly.

: She instinctively grabbed her tricorder and made another sweep of the area. "I'm still not picking up any life readings. Do you think they could be watching us remotely?"

: She began to scan the area visually for any hidden probes or monitoring equipment.

: "Well, look," she said finally, "if they're monitoring us then they already know that we're here...we can't do anything about that now. I suggest we keep moving forward, slowly. I want everyone armed and ready for action."

: As if to punctuate that statement, Sharon drew her own phaser. "Set to stun, people, and keep sharp."

Terrik followed Lt. Miller and set his phaser to stun as ordered. He had never been one for 'gut instinct', it was not a common Vulcan trait. Though Narvak did seem somewhat twitchy for a Vulcan.

Completing the scan of the near by rock Terrik answered the Lt.

"There are no descernable traces of anything out of the ordinary, the rock is comprised of a slightly higher Iron content than the usual, other than that I do not know what interest they have, if this is indeed what they were digging for."
