: : : : : Terrik looked puzzled, "There is very limited knowledge of the Tkon, even the most learned of archeologists know little more than can be learned at the academy as far as I know. Though the idea of a telepathic mechanism is, I suppose, plausible. The technology is indeed advanced."

: : : : Sharon almost called out when she saw Amicus appear beyond the bulkhead. Then she suddenly found herself growing nervous...what would his reaction be when he saw some of his brothers and sisters again? Or the Orions? How would they react to him?
: : : :
: : : : She turned to her team to report what she had just seen. "It appears that the second away team are about to arrive on the other side. Amicus is already making a passage for them through the rock walls. There are also four Orions and two Horta in there."
: : : :
: : : : She stepped back and motioned to the small window, allowing them all the opportunity to see for themselves what she had just been observing.
: : : :
: : : : "So, what now?" she mused. "It's possible that the release for this door lies on the other side. Once Lt Mason's team are in the room one of them might be able to investigate this further for us. That's if they don't get any problems from the Orions. If they DO get problems then we will need to make our own way through this door as quickly as possible to assist them. So...I don't think we're going to discover how to activate this panel, so I suggest we use the favourite method of all engineers...we take something apart. Shall we try the panel or the door itself?"

: : :
: : : Terrik took a quick look through the small window, surprised by the change in lighting. Stepping back from the panel he addressed Lt. Miller.
: : :
: : : "I think we should contact the other team and let them know of our situation and give them a heads up. I'm no engineer, but I would suggest you start with the panel."
: : :
: : : Taking a step back to give the Lt. room he observed closely, not being particularly tech savvy himself.

: : OOC: Pasting in Ray's post - Ray, in this instance you would state your action such as the moving forward touching the plate. That was good. The rest of it was speculation and not so good. Provide the action, let the GM provide the reaction.
: :
: : while Naveen was watching what sharon move around , Narvak moved forward touching the plate with his full hand , feeling a conecting to the door closing his eyes , feeling the warmth comming into his head ,
: : Cadet Navark sec
: :
: : The plate was .. nothing really. Not through gloved and insulated hands. But it did glow. What happened next was something that Naveen didn't anticipate as he had his eyes closed. The irised door suddenly opened. Fast. And with it a loss of pressurization. And with that Naveen, being at the door was carried through sailing in the low gravity cavern.
: :
: : Terrik and Sharon would have a chance to hang on to something as they were farther back.
: :
: : SJ-GM
:
: Sharon had jumped back slightly, letting out a small cry of surprise, as the door swished open. But almost immediately she became aware of the depressurization of the area and then the low gravity kicking in. As her feet began to float up off the floor, she threw out a hand and attempted to grasp onto something, but the smooth walls of the cavern offered her no handhold. She floated as far as the door before she managed to grab hold of the frame and then pulled herself back inside.
:
: Looking into the cavern beyond, she could see that Narvak had begun to float through. She attempted to reach out to him, but he was still moving away from her. "Naveen, can you grab my hand?" she called.
:
: She gave a quick glance behind her to see where Terrik was and whether he had managed to secure himself in time. Then turning back to Narvak, she also attempted to scan the cavern and ensure that Amicus was okay.

Terrik was as surprised as the rest of them by the sudden depressurization. Being close to the wall he was able to swing out his arm and catch a very small outcrop with his hand, securing himself. As Lt. Miller began to drift away from him he made a grab for the back of her suit, missing by inches.

Looking at where he had secured himself he used both hands to keep a firm grip. Hearing Lt. Miller's call to Naveen he looked back around to see his fellow Vulcan cadet floating past the doorway which Sharon had managed to brace herself against. They were both well beyond Terrik's reach,.
