: : : : : : Naveen, definitely out of reach to be grabbed by the others floated into the cavern propelled by the decompression of the corridor. It was not hugely 'explosive' though enough to send him into the chamber. The gravity of the outpost would see him arc down to the floor of the cavern toward the far side.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : Meanwhile, during the arc phaser fire rang out. One Orion, the one who was targeting Naveen, was caught by two beams, the force of which threw him back with some force to the far wall. The second Orion dove for cover behind a boulder, a phaser blast barely missing him. Of the other two Orions, the one which was partially behind cover was winged, a blast catching him on a shoulder. While it caught him and spun him around he was still up. From the far side - from the now open corridor, phaser fire rang out. The rapid fire shots, short and barely targeted at anything looked impressive. While they struck .. and stunned a considerable amount of defenseless boulders it did have the effect of keeping the Orions' heads down.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : They fired back - two of them - the partially stunned and the one who dove. Having their heads down they didn't hit much of anything themselves but too their fire was impressive and came close.

: : : : : Close enough to get the Security Chiefs adrenaline pumping as he skidded to a halt in the low gravity. First thing was first. Get out of the line of fire.
: : : : :
: : : : : Alex was moving before he even stopped. In the low gravity, he wasn't as hampered by the EV suit to reach the relative safety of the nearest wall. Prone as he was, Alex gripped his phaser and fired at the slower of the two advisories.

: : : : : OOC: Feel free to change as needed Gene. And could I get an email describing the surrounding's?

: OOC: I'll describe it here for everyone to see and work with ..

:
: The cavern was perhaps at one time a natural one and the builders here took good advantage of this by using it as a terminal of sorts. Above, there was a shaft, jagged and ruined that had once been for an industrial turbolift. Now it was just a jagged shaft that, above, opened to space. Debris was strewn over the floor of the cavern from above. There were three other exit points to this. One was a Starfleet made tunnel that was generated by means of a fusion drill - mining grade, quickly done. Another, one that was only moderately reported to have been explored but not studied was on the opposite side of the oval cavern. This one had just been opened.
:
: The third was on the far side. It was the next leg of the turbo lift that would take one down to the central control room of the old Outpost. It was partially covered in debris. Did it work? Hard to say However, the Orions apparently had made their arrival by virtue of the two horta that they had in tow.
: : : :
: : : : Sharon had dived to catch Narvak but had missed and instead hit the ground with a thud. Catching her breath quickly, she got to her knees and, keeping low, crawled over to Naveen.
: : : :
: : : : "Naveen, are you okay?" she asked quietly, at the same time beginning to drag him over to a large boulder that they could both shelter behind.
:
: Naveen's health was fine. Perhaps a bruise to one hip from the landing though otherwise his health was good. The downside that Sharon saw was that whether on landing or from the expulsion through the doorway he had a tear in his suit at his lower back.
: : : :
: : : : Her phaser still drawn, she took aim, but with shots still raining down from all angles she waited before firing her own weapon, and instead attempted to evaluate the situation.
: : : :
: : : : As she scanned the room, her eyes fell on the new addition to their team. Everything had happened so quickly that Sharon had not had time to respond to the man's arrival. But he seemed to be in control of the situation and was already engaging the Orions in a firefight.
: : : :
: : : : She could no longer see Amicus in the cavern and immediately became worried for the Horta amidst the battle action.
: : : :
: : : : Lt (j.g.) Miller (CE)
: : :
: : : NC Todd Kenny shakingly aimed his phaser at the Orions and fired. He was panicking a bit at this, and he said, "the gravity in the tunnels was artificial, Lieutenant," when Miller got closer.
: : :
: : : - NC Kenny
:
: In the firefight two things happen that is notable .. the first is that a second Orion, the injured one, was clipped by NC Kenny. This second shot took him down. The other Orion stood up and took a shot. His weapon shot over Ro, Kenny, Sharon and Naveen, striking the wall of the chamber, more notably on a large support beam. With a groan it began to fall in the direction of the four ...
: :
: : OOC: Having backread, I believe this is where Ro is, is it? If not, just void my post. :o/

: :
: : IC: Ro ambled as fast as he could in his cumbersome enviromental suit to where Naveen had fallen.

Terrik had fallen behind most of the team and had only just made it through the door frame to see Narvak hit the floor, shortly followed by Lt. Miller. He calculated his route carefully and propelled himself down, trying to keep out of the way of any errant phaser fire. Whilst doing so the shot which hit the beam caught his attention, being so far above the team. Hearing the groan he stopped himself short of passing beneath it and took cover well opposite from the other members.

Drawing his phaser he took a shot at the remaining Orion before ducking back behind cover, trying to divert attention.

=^= I do not believe it is wise that I move across to your position, Sir. =^=
