But we can make enough repairs to possibly get impulse back online. Don't know how long it will hold up however."

: "We are trying to kick start this bucket. Propulsion is down. We think we can get impulse but first we have to bypass this damaged drive coil." Rice replied, sitting up and quickly fingering his data padd.

: "Downloading the specs to your padd Bi'ran. We wanna work as fast as possible. Want to be able to move in case that Romulan WarBird that just arrived decides to start something."

"Be wary replacing that drive coil, with the singularity active again and our unfamiliarity with their power distribution systems, you're working on a hot circuit."

Burnett wished he had spent more time working with Romulan technology, or else learning to read Romulan...though either case didn't exactly fall into the realm of common work for an engineering officer. "Oh well," he thought as he glanced towards the junior officers. "I've warned them, hopefully they are careful." He looked back down at the console, smiling to himself, and continued to tap on his console in an ever failing attempt to decipher the Romulan script.
