Romulan Engineering Section on USS Athena

: : Plasma began filtering out through the nacelle housings, easing the pressure on the reaction chamber.

: : : : Tresha grabbed the damper from Rice with a worried look but concentrated on getting the ship fixed. She vaguely heard Burnett call for medical having put all her thought into the repair. It took several nail-biting minutes (which seemed MUCH longer than they actually were) and if one looked at Tresha you could see sweat beads on her spots as she did her best to emulate the infamous Scotty. Finally she got the thing into place and with a few adjustments.....the damper was back online.

: : : Rice moaned incoherently and struggled to stand but collapsed. His face turning white and he slipped into unconsciousness.

: : : Ensign Jason Rice, Engineer

: : With a replacement stabiliser in place, the reaction began to stabilise once more, the warnings gradually winking out as screens began to return to their nominal green. The third stabiliser was still unbalanced, but the automatic system was now able to control the spin.

: Stark's voice came over the conn full of tension.
:
: "Stark to engineering team. How are we faring with repairs?"
:
: Stark XO

=/\= We've stabilized the reaction but still need to replace another mid-line dampener. Under less urgent circumstances, I'd also recommend a diagnostic of the other dampeners in the singularity housing, but that could take hours. If we have any medical personnel on board, a couple of officers were injured during the attempted repairs. =/\=
