XO's Log, Supplemental - We have been assigned to repair Communications Relay Array Zeta 442. Although only five light-years away, we have been authorized to approach at warp nine. I will be holding the briefing on the matter, and hope that this shall be a short assignment.

I have installed a new First Officer today. I have high hopes for him as he comes highly recommended and has demonstrated well rounded skills so far. Our mission with the Remans will be at an end soon, and I expect that the ship can return to normal, routine fleet duties shortly. Meanwhile, we are treating our injured Marines and I hope against hope that we don't lose any of our own.

I have been settling in on the Samurai and have found the crew to be excellent. We are still investigating the Reman rebel bases, with our Marine contingent away from the Ship with Commander Jackson. We have not heard from them in some time and I hope they are still OK. I Have been working with Starfleet Command to get some scientists on board. Currently the ship is quite lacking that area.

Captain's Log Stardate 09070.4

I have been given command of the Samurai in Fleet 2. She is currently on a mission assisting Admiral Sluwuk, investigating Reman rebel bases. I take over after a popular Captain, and I have big shoes to fill after the absence of a CO for so long. The XO has done an excellent job in the mean time, and commendations should be noted in all of the crew files for operating so efficiently. As I approach the Samurai, I can't help but feel a sense of dread. The few Remens I have encountered were hostile and dangerous, and I would expect this time to be no different.

Having completed a successful mission against the Reman rebels, we have captured a Reman vessel and have transported her to starbase, and turned over to a vulcan science team for investigation.

We now turn our resources towards our upcoming mission. Re- Negotiating the treaty with The Teer of the Cappelans. This was originally negotiated by Captain James T Kirk about 100 years ago. l have set the orders of the day and they can be found for each department. We have set course to The Capellan System at best possible speed.

I have arrived onboard the Samurai and I expect to start work soon. I am currently trying to get in touch with the Chief Science Officer. Hopefully, my skills will be put to good use. However, there is no task too small for an ensign. Some are too large though.

cAPTAINS Log entry-
I have been plagued with poor luck with my senior officers. Many of them have transferred off of the ship at th beginning of the mission. My new XO is arriving shortly along with a CSO in tow. My new CMO CTO AND CIO should be arriving in the next 72-96 hours. The counselor has been a great assist in working through this.
