Bridge - Athena on USS Athena

: : : : : : : : : After his rather rude dismissal from Sickbay, GORBI had spent what, for a computer, was an eternity brooding over how rude the man there had been. Thus when the holoprojectors on the Bridge kicked in and the rumpled form of a crazed Russian appeared next to the science station, he did not have a pleasant expression on his face "Vot, so now sumvon else vud like to tell me vot a komputer I em?!"

: : : : : : : : : : Dan relaxed in his chair as he watched Casira move over to the science station. Addressing the Helm NE Dan said, "Keep following that trail and don't lose it."

: : : : : : : : Casira shot a gaze towards the grizzled man at her side, regarding him for a brief few seconds with a perplexed frown. "That would depend upon the expediency of your response to my query." she retorted in a matter-of-fact tone, her neon eyes unblinking as she met the hologram's disgruntled expression with a perfectly unruffled wall of abject stoicism.

: : : : : : : Dan sat watching the avatar and Casira and thought, *this should be interesting*.

: : : : : :
: : : : : : GORBI muttered something thoroughly unpleasant under his breath, questioning the lines of vulcan heritage and the prevailing bad attitudes of everyone aboard the ship... He did however comply with her request, presenting the decrypted base code for the virus that GORBI had managed to break during his battle with its electronic counterpart.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : Contained within the base code were a series of coordinates indicating a point outside the Romulan system, as well as a tracking signature ID. Feeding the ID into the expanded sensor grid they'd coordinated with the Romulan Warbird and the convoy provided a flashing dot in the exact centre of their search grid, a dot moving at high warp.

: : : : : He hit his comm badge =/\= Athena, we're underway again. We'll be with you as quickly as warp six will allow =/\=.
: : : : :
: : : : : Stark XO
: : : :
: : : : =/\= "Acknowledged. That's the best news I've heard all day." =/\= Dan relaxed a bit in the chair, glad that Stark's team was able to get that ship moving and would be joining the convoy after all.

: : : Casira's brow dipped in deep concentration as she stared at the information being displayed on the screen. "GORBI," she spoke up swiftly to the hologram hanging at her elbow, pointing a slender finger at the flickering numbers "what part of the virus' code do these digits represent? They look distinctly like spacial coordinates!"

:
: Sarcasm pooled from his tone, as the still irked AI replied "Vell aren't you de klever von.... You must hev been top ov klass in Akademy vid brain like dis... Day are spatial coordinates... A point in space tree point seven trillion kilometres from Romulus. Day are base code functionality."
: :
: : Dan watched the exchange between Casira and GORBI. Dan recognized that the numbers did indeed appear to be spatial coordinates, he was just not certain that area was a place he wanted to go.
: :
: : Dan accessed the cartology database and requested the distance from the ship's current location to those coordinates.
:
: Current distance at warp seven would take them to the point in question within nineteen minutes.

The Caitian might have taken offence at the computer's brash, insulting response, but there would be time for that later...right now she had more important matters to attend to. "Sir," she called urgently over her shoulder towards her DH in the command chair, "the virus code is exhibiting a tracking spacial coordinate variable in it's foundation matrix. It could be that somebody is controlling it remotely from an outside source, and judging by the location of that source, it may be the ship that intercepted the Captain. We may be able to use this data to track and aprehend them."
